Civilization Revolution - am I the only one who likes it?

Civilization Revolution - am I the only one who likes it? Nobody seems to talk about it, and everybody I know (that are gamers) raise their eyebrows when I mention it.

I quite enjoyed it. As a console strategy game, I thought it did rather well, but it was always doomed to be compared to its PC brothers and so it really stood no chance.

Civ:Rev was a brilliant game. I had to sell my xbox copy to buy Mass Effect 2, but my flatmate still has it for the PS3, so we're surviving.

It got good reviews AFAIK, and most of the serious console gamers I've chatted too have owned it at one time or another. I've had some fun strategy discussions. I even know a dude over in Australia who managed to get all the achievement points, but I can't see how - deity difficulty level is a bit like anal rape, but it's over quicker.

Long story short, it's just about the only strategy game I've played on consoles that worked.

I have a friend that's got all 50, and I don't have that much difficulty on the game, but it's pretty much already been forgotten in the gaming world (they stopped making it as well, so if you have one, keep it)

It was a decent enough strategy game for consoles. If I hadn't played the PC Civilization series, I'd be very happy playing Revolutions. I have played the PC series though, so Revolutions doesn't even get a look in.

Urgh.. I despise the main game. Its way too complicated for me.
But I absolutely ADORE the app on my iPhone. Its perfect.. simple, fun, strategic. SIMPLE.

I had it on my 360 untill I saw the entire Civ:IV bundle on Steam for 10$ and now I can't stop playing it.

I like Rev, but compared to Civ 4 it just feels so dumbed-down.
