There is a tribe of 500 humans (200 Men, 200 Women, 50 Elders, 50 Children).
You command them. They are at the bottom of a snowy mountain facing a
frozen tundra that stretches for miles in every direction. It's your job
to turn these wandering nomads into a great civilization. Anything is allowed,
and you will have to discover the subtleties of this arctic world.

Rules

Food: the tribe needs food. Food will be measured on a relative
scale (i.e. "Food:plenty", or "Food:Scarce").

Water: the tribe needs water, too. It will be measured the same
way as food.

Additional Resources: additional statistics will come into play
as the tribe discovers new technologies and methods. They will be
measured, usually, in more concrete terms (such as "Lumber:3 Fallen
Trees").

Research: researching technology will be essential to the tribe's
success. In order to research something just type: "Research:X".
If it can be researched, your tribespeople will attempt to discover
it. If not, OP will specify the prerequisites.

Seconding: Before the game really gets going, OP will go with orders
that get seconded first. If you second a decision, make sure that you
clearly say "Second (idea)" in your post. After the game gets going, OP
will increase the number of "seconds" needed for a decision.

If there are any other questions, just ask.

Also, this land is not Earth. Expect the unusual to happen.

What the heck? I'll bite.

Is there any game around? Have them be hunter gatherers until they reach a suitable environment for farming.
