Em searched all around the room, looking for something to use on the door. She sighed scratching her head.
"Damn, the room's cle- oh hey." She winced, pulling a hair pin out. "This could work."
She went over to the door, kneeling down and peering through the lock as she wiggled the hair pin around.
"Come on.... Score!" Em smiled as she heard a small click. Testing the handle again, it turned, allowing them to open the door.

Savannah looked about.

"I believe that it would be best to wait until those two are awake before we make our escape. Strength in numbers, after all. We will need to plan carefully and not rush into anything. It may be best to learn what our captors plan to do first." Then he realised something. The other woman - Aricla - was not present, meaning that she must be somewhere in the city. He decided not to mention this, as it was both obvious and not particularly relevant.

"Sleep Schmeep, we don't have time to wait." Em said, untying Alo while he was still unconcious. She heaved him over her shoulder.
"Okay... Let's... Go." She said, faking a smile while straining under the weight. Em walked slowly, one foot at a time.
"Okay, can you check the coast is clear?" She asked Savannah.

good gravy Alo, lose some weight D:

Hammond almost thought about asking Em if she was comfortable carrying Alo, but then he figured out that he would be carrying Alo if she wasn't, and he had had just about enough of carrying people to last him a good while, so he simply kept back, letting Em command Savannah however she pleased. Again, at least it wasn't him.

Savannah nodded curtly, as though what Em has said was a formality. He opened the door slowly and quietly and peered out. The corridor he came to see was not dark, but not exactly well-lit either.

This would be a great amount easier if I had my gun.

He looked right and saw nothing but a door at the far end of the corridor. Swinging his head left, his spotted a two-man patrol heading away from them towards a T-junction. They reached it, seemed to exchange a few words, then split up, one taking the left turn and the other the right.

Savannah was about to duck back into the room to tell the others about this when he spotted a third, much slighter guard (probably a woman, though it was hard to tell at that distance and in that light) coming towards him after taking the right corner. She seemed much less sure of herself.

An amateur. Very good.

Moving quickly, he turned to Hammond and instructed him to take one of the chairs, hide behind the open door, and attack when Savannah gave the command of clicking his fingers. He then took Em's hairpin from the lock and, after checking no-one else was on their way, threw it out into the corridor, where it made a clinking sound. Going back inside, he directed Em to stay at the far end of the cell with him and Aloran.

Em stayed far back in the corner, waiting for the guard to appear. As the door creaked open, she squeaked in surprise as the guard's head appeared around the door.

Ah. This was closer to what he was expecting. They would be at the very back of the room, far from danger, and he would be the one having the attack an armed guard with an unstable piece of wooden furniture.

[small]"Fine, but I think we could get a much better plan than 'hit people with a chair.'"[/small]

It was slightly better than being a meat shield, though not much. Probably several times better than what the upcoming guard was going to get, he supposed. He grabbed the chair, raising it high above his head and then waited for a guard to appear.

And one did. A head was inserted through the gap in the door and Hammond brought to chair down onto the unsuspecting guard's head, the blow knocking her to the ground.

Wait... "Ari?!" Did I just...? He threw the chair away into another corner of their little room.

"This was your plan, Savannah! You were supposed to keep an eye out for whether it was Ari or not!"

Isn't it weird how you get writer's block in one RP but you can't stop writing for another one... Although I do think I play this one too much. I've started thinking about whether or not I should roll dice before I make a post. =/

EDIT: Nah, I like it better with Hammond blaming Savannah for things. No editness necessary.

Savannah gave Hammond a cool, level look.

"I was not supposed to do that at all. How would I have known that Ms. Aricla would be disguised as a guard, much less in this building at all? Additionally, you did not follow the plan. You were supposed to wait for my signal, which was an instruction I specifically gave as a precaution for this sort of situation."

Saying nothing more and leaving Hammond fuming, he knelt down, checking the back of Ari's head for wounds. His fingers came away red. He examined her eyes as well.

"She is bleeding, though not as much as you might expect. Signs of brain damage are minimal. She was lucky."

"It's not my fault you didn't take those things into consideration. If you would have been clearer, I would have followed the order and probably not hit Ari."

He could almost hear the sarcastic slow clapping in his mind. Yep. Great work Hammond. If she didn't like you before, she must be absolutely head over heels for you now. Geddit? 'Head over heels'? Because she fell forwards when you smashed her head in with a chair?

Go fornicate yourself with an iron pole.

Haha! And now we take another trip to the hospital? Carry her all over the town again and repeat this day all over again as well tomorrow? Can't wait!

"Guys, stop arguing and grow some cahones." Em said, stomping her foot. "One of you pick her up, if we're careful we might be able to sneak out of here."

Savannah stood and looked at Em.

"I believe that we may not have as much need for stealth as it may seem. We have a disguise right here," he said calmly, gesturing towards Aricla, "and one guard escorting four prisoners is much less conspicuous than four prisoners carrying an unconscious guard, would you not you agree?"

Em put Alo back down for a rest, stretching her arms.
"But that uniform is pretty small, I mean, if Ari can fit in then you guys probably couldn't. We'd need another ... Oh damn." She sighed.

"I imagine you will want some privacy," Savannah said without a hint of irony.

Em, you do realise the uniform more or less fits Hammond and is made for a man?

"Yeah, you guys face the wall." She said sternly, as Savannah helped her carry Ari further into the room.
She made sure both Savannah and Hammond weren't looking before carefully getting Ari out of the guards uniform. Luckily she was wearing her normal clothes underneath.
Good. I don't think my clothes suit her anyway Em thought cheerfully, as she put the guards outfit on herself.

Shhh, it's funnier this waaaay D:

"Are you decent? Can we stop looking at the wall?" Hammond almost looked back, but simply tilted his gaze upwards to avoid any sights.

"Yeh. We're good." Em straightened her golden mask and smiled mischievously.

Both conscious males turned and quickly went to pick up their unconscious allies. Savannah held Alo, throwing him casually over one shoulder, and Hammond held Ari, letting her sit in a more comfortable position than Alo had been granted with. Hammond was still feeling stupid enough for hitting her over the head, and this was only one way he could make up for it at the moment.

"Em... You don't mind if we keep that mask after we're out, do you? After all the time we've wasted here I just think we ought to get a nice souvenir for it."

"Fine with me. I think it suits me anyway." Em said, checking the coast was clear. After she was certain no guards were heading their way, she let the others go ahead of her, holding Ari's rifle lazily in her hands.
"Okay, if anyone see's an exit sign just tell me." She said.
