You uh, you haven't finished Berserk's Golden Age arc have you? Besides Griffith isn't in a video game.
You uh, you haven't clicked on the spoiler tags, have you?
And yes, I realized the OP is only about video game characters, however not before I posted. By then I didn't want to just replace everything with "never mind". That's why there is that "Edit: some stuff" at the end.

I'm aware that the Eclipse is still a part of the Golden Age arc, but after spending some time in the dungeon master's care I suppose we can safely assume his personality changed a bit.

Looked at the first one, missed the second one. Rather drowsy today sorry about that.

Ehh I'm not so sure. While there's a bit of seduction and corruption on the part of the God Hand, they really just brought to the surface elements of his personality that were already there. He was always determined to get his own kingdom no matter what it took. It's hard to say whether his shacking up with the Princess had more to do with a feeling of being betrayed by Guts as a friend, or if it was a result of him losing his most important pawn. Ultimately though Griffith just wound up breaking more eggs more brutally than he'd anticipated in the process of making his omelet though.

This kinda works:

He is a hero to some extant, he tries to help those in need for better or for worse.

He lives in a medieval world, quite a realistic one at that.

Spoiler for The Witcher 2, at some point Geralt's girlfriend at the time, Triss, gets kidnapped and you can choose to save her (but if you don't she gets saved anyway).

At least in the third game, who Geralt has to defeat is pretty evil.
Eh...sorta in a fucked up kinda way I guess he is, but i wouldn't call him a classic/traditional by any stretch.

Anywho OT: Locke from FF6 is kinda standard.
Funny :D
You know what is the "fucked up" part of Geralt?
When compared to actual medieval knight and knights in the game he is closer to "knight in shining armor" standard them most of those bastards.

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! Forgetting THE "Knight In Shining Armor" himself:

Adelbert Steiner, this man will do what is right and is one of my favorite characters in video games because of how he learns the kingdom he supports isn't infallible but his sense of duty and honor is never diminished for it. I love this guy.
Glad to see a fellow Steiner fan! When last I played FFIXX, I named Steiner "Rusty" XD. You? But in all seriousness, I really liked this character, for the reasons you've stated. But also, because he comes off as genuinely Noble, almost to the point of naivety. Yeah, he might be a little too high-strung, but he means well. I mean heck, early on in the game when the princess gets captured by the Plant creature and Vivi shows what he can do, he seems really impressed, even calling Vivi "Master". I thought that was kind of amazing.
Sturm for me, from Dragonlance. And yeah same reasons, noble to the point of naivety. And to the poster from earlier, sorry I missed the Steiner mention but he's the go-to example I think of when I think "Knight in shining armor".
