what works really well for me when i'm looking for songs is pandora internet radio. you punch in like 10 or 20 bands and songs you like and you give thumbs up or thumbs down the songs they play and it learns what you like and helps you find stuff you wouldnt know about. It's free and you get like one 20 sec commercial every 2 hours. I love it been using it for like 4 months.

I'll be taking the suggestions too because I'm music retarded, and recently found out I liked classic rock. Basically word for word what yhatzee said in his guitar hero 4/beatles rock bands reveiw, he didnt get me to look up classic rock, but it was 2 months after that exact thing happend to me.

bad company, free and hendrix all awesome bands/artists from the sixties, for 70s led zeppelin and pink floyd were my favourite. For the 80s I personally wouldn't have that bigger preference of any bands. 90s I would say Nirvana but they're more grunge rather than classic rock. And for now definiently foo fighters, they're my personal favourite atm, if you want a list of bands I would recommened pm me. I could give you 30+ bands easily.
Already a fan of Bad Company, and have a bit of Hendrix already, and looking more into Free. Also I have a CD of Led Zeppelin, but not that much of a Pink Floyd fan. And I agree, Nirvana is definetly more grunge. The classic rock station near me started playing them recently to my surprise and I instantly commented to my dad that they aren't classic rock.

Added Five To One though. And checking out The Doors more. More into that style.
Awesome. Also, I'd recommend Red by King Crimson. It's prog-rock but more accessible than their other albums. Or if you want just one song you should go with "In the Court of the Crimson King" from their first album.

I bet most of you don't know Emmerson, Lake and Palmer (ELP). They are kind of like Pink Floyd in a way.

Take my Word for it, they are very good, check out -

Tarkus
Trilogy
Karn Evil 9 (30 minute song)

Also 70 classic rock songs only? I have 80 alone by the Beatles!

Get some Cold Chisel!

And i'm assuming you're fully stocked on GnR and ACDC.
Not really fully stocked. I have 4 from ACDC, Thunderstruck, Highway to Hell, Hells Bells, and TNT, and GnR I have 4 also, Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. Also saw GnR in concert a few years back.
OMG your missing out on so much! You need to get some more.

AC/DC - Back in Black, It's a Long Way to the Top, Whole Lotta Rosie, You Shook Me All Night Long and For Those About to Rock.

Guns N' Roses - November Rain (their most famous song), Civil War, Estranged, Mr. Brownstone, Coma and My Michelle.

You can have the fun of finding the rest yourself.

Hes not missing out. GnR isn't that good an neither is AC/DC at least form a musical point of view.
Well thats your incredably poor opinion. Last I checked, they both kicked the crap out of Journey.

Try a fairly new band BIGELF. They sound like black sabbath, pink floyd, and led zeppelin mixed together. I didn't see anyone mention Queen either. We will rock you and fat bottomed girls are the best songs.

Sure... but then again we have an OP requesting info on some, so stating the obvious seemed like an appropriate thing to do.
