When I first heard about the game I was intrigued by the setting and story, though the demo was merely okay. The reviews being somewhat mediocre also put me off buying the game as well. Of course, now it's on Steam for a mere $10 and it'll probably never be any cheaper.

So, for those who have played it, is the game worth it for $10?

It's a moderate FPS experience. If you are looking for a game to keep you occupied for a little while, but not blow you away with amazing gameplay and a great story, then why not try it out for $10?
Just don't make the mistake of thinking this will be a great game when you buy it. It's moderate at best, but for $10, it should supply the entertainment for the money.

for $10.. maybe, $15 is too much for it
The overall problem with the game is it tries to be scary and fails horribly, it reminded me a lot of those horror stories for kids that you would see on nickelodeon

Gameplay is a combination of a FPS and a rail shooter, go into a section, kill everything, move on. With Ammo getting restored to max at each section, each section being the size of a small room

It has a few interesting game mechanics, like each member of the team has their own superpower, but the game doesnt really utilise it outside of a few rare puzzle areas that you have to use spell power to get past

No.

From what I played in the demo, it was a consolised shooter which was pretty damn average.

But then, I found UT3 average and yet loved Red Orchestra.

Yes, it's worth the money.

It's a fun shooter that lacks any depth beyond "slaughter everything that moves"
