...I shop at military surplus stores relatively often (everything we get issued nowadays is disposable, so all the good stuff is for sale)... and I'll usually pick up a cheap knife or something when I fail to find boots in my size...

I enjoy clothes and fashion, but my awkwardly thin frame makes shopping nightmarishly awful. And I'm pretty sure that the rise in obesity has affected sizing. I've pretty much come to accept the fact that shirts/coast which fit my chest/shoulders will be too short, and things which are long enough will be too large.

Yuck. No. I despise shopping for clothes. If I need something, I shop like Puritans have sex: in and out in three minutes.

You should start a service called Shopping Boot Camp. Guys send their girlfriends to you; you train them how to shop the right way, then send the girls back. Their grateful men can finally be liberated from sitting outside a changing room until the DS battery dies while she's in there trying on twelve different outfits...

Wow. You're brilliant. I never thought that my inability to be a normal girl would translate into PROFITS!

A few weeks ago. I had to buy new shirts for my new job. :D

Whenever I buy clothes, it's always because I have some need for them. I never buy on a whim. I needed new shirts for work. Before that, I needed new pants and skirts because I lost a ton of weight over the summer and couldn't wear my old favorites anymore (and the denim was too hard for me to sew through, otherwise I just would've altered my old stuff).

I hate buying new clothes, really. I usually just try to keep my old clothes in good repair so they last as long as possible.

The world needs more people like you in it. Those women who have an "inability to be a normal girl" make the world go 'round.

I clothes shop online, as stores never have my size in stock. This also means I can spend mere minutes or hours shopping for new clothes.

Just t'other day in fact. A couple of jumpers. It is getting cold after all. I've just had a massive reshuffle of my wardrobe. I realised that some of my more extravagent shirts didn't really suit me anymore. Also I needed a new suit and field clothes for work.

I don't really like shopping but I like having new clothes. It is difficult to reconcile...

The last time I went shopping properly was a couple of weeks ago, but I did buy a jacket off eBay really recently. It still squeaks, so I wear it all the time to break it in. Pity it's getting so hot now. Wearing leather in 33 degrees Celcius weather is not fun at all.

A few weeks back after starting a new job I went and bought a new suit during my lunch break instead of browsing DVDs and video games.

Most of the time I don't think about clothes. I replace my jeans when they're threadbare, buy new t-shirts off a website like Red vs. Blue or Split reason when I have the spare cash. Buy new underwear when my existing pile of "emergency only because of massive holes in them" gets bigger than my "perfectly ok for all occasions" pile.

Love shopping for clothes now that I have enough self confidence to buy stuff that actually fits me. Going to buy some new shoes, a scarf, possibly a new pair of jeans tomorrow.

And I love looking through random movies and videogames, though I should really finish all of the movies/games that I have.

This sounds like a joke, but I have 100% honestly left clothing stores that I fully intended to buy clothes at empty-handed because I couldn't stand the music.
