Everything apparently gives you cancer nowadays, I don't care at this point, still pretty interesting. I guess now I can feel like a badass who lives life on the edge.

Don't believe anything you read is my less frequently used motto.

This is why;

Scaremongering newspapers will try anything to get you... well scared!

Also this is a link with everything the Daily Mail (UK "news"paper) has said will give you cancer. Feel free to read it and laugh.

Since when did health warnings stop people from doing things anyway?

Eh, looks fine from a preliminary look at the bbc article. Dosage for mice & humans varies greatly, if there's previous research that shows the chemical is fine, there's likely nothing wrong with it.

When are they just going to save everyone a load of time and label 'life' as the cover-all carcinogen?

This just in! Cancer causes cancer! Avoid it at all costs!
Putting one foot in front of the other when walking increases your chances of cancer by as much as 40%! Now you can feel comfortable that your fat ass drives everywhere.

OT: Yeah, cancer no longer matters. Nobody cares about what gives you cancer and nobody ever has. People with cancer deal with it, people who want to help donate money and everyone else continues to live their lives. Why is cancer a headline anyway?

Since there isn't a single way of showing the root cause of cancer and since there is no way to control your entire environment anyway I simply choose to ignore all these garbage studies. They don't have the slightest idea what they are talking about but they can't help themselves.

I can't do anything in my life without running into these risk factors so really why should I worry about it at all? It's not much different than having some terminal disease that causes you to die when the season changes from Spring to Summer. You're dead either way. Enjoy life or be miserable.

I choose to enjoy life and let the half wit scientists scare the crap out of more gullible people.

They're not changing the recipe everywhere, like here in Sweden. Mm, delicious cancer.
Happy news! I drink around 2 liters every day. Not sure what I'd replace my Pepsi addiction with if the new recipe turned out to be disgusting.

Pretty sure I'll die young from prostate cancer.

Really irritates me that in all these articles on public health they NEVER cite original publications or source material.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims a person would need to drink more than 1,000 cans of Coke or Pepsi a day to take in the same dose of the chemical that was given to the animals in the lab test.
Thank god I only drink 600 cans a day. I should be safe.

Of course, the read is actually kind of interesting. California, a state with a rep of having some really weird health laws, has labeled one of the ingredients in the colouring a carcinogen, so there was a choice for the businesses to either alter the formula or label in accordance to California law.

This is kind of a common thing in the US, where we will get labels of compliance with California law in our products, even on the East Coast.

I mean, it's one thing for a tabloid to do it, but this is a STATE.

Captcha: My Bad. This has to be a sign.
