The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims a person would need to drink more than 1,000 cans of Coke or Pepsi a day to take in the same dose of the chemical that was given to the animals in the lab test.
Thank god I only drink 600 cans a day. I should be safe.
Oh man, I need to cut back to only 900 cans. Just until the new formula hits.

This is painfully dumb. It's a shame to know that some people actually believe all that nonsense about every other thing giving you cancer.

Happy news! I drink around 2 liters every day. Not sure what I'd replace my Pepsi addiction with if the new recipe turned out to be disgusting.

Pretty sure I'll die young from prostate cancer.
Oh, thank god. I thought I was the only one who drank fizzy black liquid instead of water. I'm pretty sure it's killing me, but god damn is it a tasty way to go...

Eh, I generally avoid Coke and Pepsi for other reasons. Namely because they're worse for your teeth than most soft drinks.

I mean, if my order of pizza comes with some, I'll have it. And I just discovered that rum and coke is pretty good. But I generally won't go for dark soda if I can go for 7-up, root beer, or grape soda.

So this news doesn't really affect me all that much. Although my uncle (who drinks nothing but pepsi) might find it interesting. :p

Captha: Hahahaha, it's "lol cat". XD

Ah, it seems you're out of luck there:

"CLARIFICATION: This story was changed on 10 March to make it clear that it was a manufacturing process that had changed, not the recipe of the drinks themselves."
So no need for that self-restraint! Cheers!

This just in: Owning a dog gives you cancer! Better give up another thing I love.

While I'm certainly not inclined to believe Coke or Pepsi is healthy; I'm thinking genetics has more to do with cancer than carbonated beverages.

This just in! Cancer causes cancer! Avoid it at all costs!
In other news, stabbing monkeys with sharp objects is bad for their health.
In other news, stabbing monkeys with soft objects can cause aids! Beware!

All kidding aside, I'd hate to think they actually change the flavour of Coke.. again. Whenever sodas I enjoy change the ingredients or the recipe or whatever, it always causes me to stop drinking it and find some other carbonated beverage to drink. Considering I'm now a Diabetic (unrelated to soda, but to fruit juices), my selection is already getting pretty ridiculous.

"What's that? People like Diet Coke-Plus? Sure we'll get rid of it right away!" and another tasty diet soda is gone.. How many fucking sodas out there ALREADY lack a diet variety? Far too many. Then we had that bullshit scare about those preservatives a few years ago. I've been drinking soda my entire life and the worst that's happened has been the aforementioned Diabetes, but that runs in my family so I can hardly draw a parallel between it and soda.

Try harder, companies, try harder.

Or, we could just roll a dice, at this point, and let that decide if we get cancer or not, judging by all the s#$t that's supposed to give us cancer. It's getting ridiculous.

Everything gives you cancer of the something-or-other. Of all the ways in which Pepsi is bad for your health, the chance of cancer is literally the least concerning of them.

Just thought you all should know that.
