Using stumbleupon I found this [link]http://www.razerzone.com/venom/[/link] and I think what...the...fuck, this product is meant to keep you awake for a max of 150 hours by using a gold plated needle(really) to inject a 300ml intravenous solution into you (not all at once...I think). Don't like the thought of injecting unknown chemicals into your body? That's ok Razer Vemon also comes in a nebulizer which lets you breath the fucking stuff. Here are some quotes from the website:

"All you have to do is inject the needle into your veins and let Razer Venom do the rest. Razer Venom comes in a 300ml intravenous solution bag which will last you the duration of your week long gaming experience."

And also has this fun little warning: "Razer Venom might cause massive hysteria and ?claw fist syndrome?."

Is it just me or does this have death wish written all over it?

Edit: I had no clue this was fake I had never heard of Razer(I use newegg), and I also saw no date on the page saying when it was posted(I did look). Claw hand syndrome is a real thing but it also goes by the name Ulnar claw. Has I said I used stumbleupon when I found it. And it's not like they won't have got people to buy it. And yes I do feel like a fucking idiot.

I think you meant cocaine. Heroin is a depressant, which makes you sleepy.

wtf who would pay to inject unknown stuff in their veins, just to game longer?! o.o
- just get some sleep, eat something and then start gaming again -_-

P.S. ProTip for the OP: put "http://" before the "www" ;)

Well........THAT'S interesting. Is it Legal? That's basically my concern. If a person is willing to use it, then as long as they don't harm anyone else, it's fine.[sub]Though seriously, WHAT THE FUCK?[/sub]

Illegal, immoral, broken link.
Just copy and paste it into your URL.

Go and actually look at it, it's not illegal or immoral. It's a chemical substance that you can inject or inhale to keep you awake and alert - so the opposite of a sleeping pill (probably would be great for truckies). I'm actually trying to tell if it's a joke or not - the way it's written:

120-150 hours. The average Venom user might start getting a little thirsty at this point. A sip of water would be recommended to quench your thirst to fuel your insatiable hunger for more gaming.

In the case of a yawn, refuel.
Note that this is the first mention of "maybe you should eat or drink something" in the whole time line of effects, 120 hours in.

It's also has a description for 5 minutes, 48 hours and 96 describing the way you body is supposed to react. I guess this is meant for the guy who decides he wants to finish Final Fantasy XIII in 1 sitting.

Sounds highly illegal.

Not to mention immoral.
Funny that, Google says there's no such thing as claw fist syndrome...
Would probably be the equivalent to constantly drinking energy drinks, except it would probably be better for your health.

Also, an April Fools joke from Razer.

I don't get why anyone would want to do this, most games become monotonous after a few hours for me, and they're just games, you can finish them in as much time as you need. and seriously, injecting this into your body? You'd have to be crazy.

Actually this might come in handy for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

I'll have to stock up on this indeed.

Oh, you are referring to Razerzone's April fools day joke. Seriously, I hope you were just joking around when you made this thread.

It was mentioned here
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99626-April-Fools-2010-Roundup

and here
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/02/april-fools-use-razer-venom-for-those-extended-play-sessions/

and here
http://dvice.com/archives/2010/04/razer-venom-let.php

And if I kept on listing then I'd be here all night.

The 1st of April was 19 days ago.

The question is, if you fall for a obvious April Fools joke over 2 weeks later, does that make you a more or less of a fool than somebody who fell for it on April Fools day?

lol, testimony from beta testers "If energy drinks give you wings this gives you a scram-jet!"

I'm calling bullshit on this. Quite hilarious though.

I question whether or not such a product would be legal, or moral, or for that matter... needed.

Maybe it's just me but I never pictured gaming as the kind of sport that really needs an adrenaline boost.
