Because while its responsible use is never mentioned, its use and coolness are pushed hardcore. Do I personally feel responsible adults should use what pleases them responsibly? Yes. Do I think showing kids that getting high off your ass and being a dick is cool and he's totally a fag if he doesn't get with the picture is irresponsible and should be discouraged? Definitely.Zhukov said:Seriously? Why?Adam Jensen said:That's kind of awesome and also highly irresponsible considering that a lot of kids play CoD.
I mean, I hardly think the kiddies will be made into junkies because they saw a picture of some leaf in a video game.
Heh.Zhukov said:people are pretty relaxed about weed
This seems to give me an idea for a comedy FPS game.PainInTheAssInternet said:Heh.Zhukov said:people are pretty relaxed about weed
Weed has been just as integral to the online experience as using enough colourful language to paint the world's most offensive mural. In MW2, there were at least three weed-related tags if I recall correctly, and everyone had something of similar nature in their names. This just seems to acknowledge it.
Though I agree with Nieroshai; they need to really ramp it up now. I expect a gun that fires only in swears. A rocket launcher that looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Troll faces everywhere.
As a Colorodian I can field this question.Zhukov said:Hell, didn't they recently legalize it in parts of the US?
So far we only have this:Pogilrup said:This seems to give me an idea for a comedy FPS game.PainInTheAssInternet said:Heh.Zhukov said:people are pretty relaxed about weed

You know, people ***** but, one drunken night I woke up with Ghosts in my games section. I've been playing it ever since, and I have to say it's multiplayer is fun so long as you aren't playing with Toxic players, which I've only encountered one so far.Evonisia said:Oh Activision, Ghosts still sold millions of copies, stop being so desperate with these DLCs every week for Ghosts.
They're appealing the dudebros of the Call of Duty playerbase, clearly, who'll think it's so awesome that they get weed on their guns. You make the playerbase look so good, Activision, really.
Eh, I just couldn't get into it, singleplayer, co-op or multiplayer. If you don't encounter toxic players that's awesome. I can't say I found many when I tried playing Ghosts, I just don't like the game enough to continue playing it.SaneAmongInsane said:You know, people ***** but, one drunken night I woke up with Ghosts in my games section. That's the target audience, though.Adam Jensen said:That's kind of awesome and also highly irresponsible considering that a lot of kids play CoD.
It's actually self referential to call the pack that, in mw2 you could unlock a title by hitting 3 or 5 people with the riot shield, it was called blunt truma, which of course was weed leaves. (was also high command and joint ops).Weaver said:Yes, this is real[footnote]http://www.polygon.com/2014/4/26/5656452/call-of-duty-marijuana-theme-pot-camo-skin-dlc[/footnote][footnote]http://www.kitguru.net/gaming/jon-martindale/call-of-duty-gets-pun-heavy-with-weed-themed-camo/[/footnote]

I guess you gotta pander to your demographic, right?"Guns blazing" takes on new meaning with the marijuana-themed camouflage pattern that Call of Duty: Ghosts is now selling over Xbox Live.
You're allowed to make comments of wide sweeping generalizations if you're targeting anything CoD. It's how the Escapist works. Move along now, try not to break up the circlejerk.Rozalia1 said:... What is wrong with this? Aren't you all judging weed smokers a bit with the comments being made?
No harm in it all.
