You can get so much more for that money. No i won't buy three new broken maps that guarantee you get shot from behind cos people just happen to spawn their.

15 for five maps is actually pretty fair. 3 new maps and 2 maps that people asked for that i heard are pretty good. I paid 5.99 or 6.99(can't remember) for 2 maps in killzone 2 and i heard the halo maps were about the same price so there's really nothing new as far as pricing. It'd be nice if they were 10$ and I'm sure they will be at some point, but it's really not as outrageous as people seem to think. bottom line for me is that it's a game that's fun as hell that I'll be playing a lot so it'll be a worthwhile investment.

man sometimes the maps just aren't worth the money. I got a good addition that had all the maps already for COD 4 but I just can't pay up for some remakes

God I love Cox.

OT: I'm not spending £10 on any DLC, might as well one for a game I hated.

Are you insane? It's a total rip-off and nothing more than a shameless money grab. I realise I'm talking about PC here but for $15 there are plenty of full games on Steam or GOG.com available. Also look at the amount of content valve has released for TF2 for free and the Titan Pack for UT3. By buying this you're saying to them that it's ok for them to pull this crap and before you know it horse armour will be looking like good value in comparison.

I have never seen so much griping over fifteen dollars. You call that overpriced? How about when you bought L4D2 for $50 and knew well beforehand that it was the same game with a few minor changes? Why was that acceptable when you can't even fork over $15 for new maps that you don't even know anything about yet?

Also, don't quote me on this, but I think there will be new weapons/attachments available as well.

Best reply ever.

*This sausage is huge*

My skills are needed elsewhere gentlemen.

The price is ridiculous. It should be £1 at most.

The bit that really annoys me about MW2 maps is they could be made of Lego and the game play would not change! They can all be drawn out on graph paper given the minimal amount of overlap in that game. All straight lines and solid blocks, with a few debris thrown into the mix and textured to look like streets and buildings.

So I probably won't hold high hopes for these maps... they will be 'more of the same.' We probably will see nothing more then a few reinforced points connected with three or so routes between all of them and the occasional open area... that is if the map isn't nothing but open area with a few 'walls' to section off parts.

Sorry MW's map design has always been a sore spot with me. Given the capability of engines today coupled with the 'realism feel' they keep going for and you think they would try and at least make their maps play like real world situations. If not have more realistic objectives then running around after some box or playing a game of soccer then why not at least allow us truly free movement within the game world?

Not just make them look like real world textured Lego.

So a few new but overall useless maps, for yet another $15, makes me shake my head...

Well people gripped a shit-ton over L4D2 also when it was announced, but it actually turned out to be a huge improvement over the first one because the little improvements actually made a pretty big impact on the enjoyability of the game.
But with the MW2 maps, it's just 5 maps for $15, and while the maps do look fun, I didn't really see any possibility of some cool secret places/alternate routes like in Highrise or Karachi, so $15 is a little bit too much for me, maybe when they put it on a half-priced sale.
Also, I don't think its new weapons/attatchments, its new camo's for the guns.

I don't even have MW2 and I wouldn't pay that much. Although my some of classmates are almost constantly looking at MW2 video's on youtube, and I just sit there and think "Don't they even look at other games!?"

Really? I got mine for £27 on release day. Just because you did does'nt mean "we" all did.

I'll be getting it. £10 won't even buy a round in the pub.

Also, is anyone else disappointed that Vacant didn't make a return?

I think it's a waste of $15.

I loathed Crash and Overgrown - so paying $15 for 3 maps isn't anywhere near the top of my list.

Besides, I have a family to feed!
[sub]Not really, I'm just really pinching pennies for God of War III.[/sub]
Just Rent it, as great as it is, the price ($120 australian fuck that.) is not worth the 15 hours of gameplay.

Anyway on topic, I'll get it eventually, I still think its unfairly priced.

I'm more disappointed that there is no crossfire.

You must be one of the lucky ones, I was one of those who preordered it with price hike. Got it from game, but where did you pick it up for that price? Would have welcomed that cost any day

Cross fire would be brutal with all of the kill streaks, its really open. Having said that I always run coldblooded. CoD4 maps were magic. Creek was the only map I ever skipped.

ASDA I think, it was one of the supermarkets anyway. They tend to do that with big titles on release day. I did the same with flashpoint. They figure they take a hit on the game but then you do £100 worth of food shop while you're there. I just got the game though.
