Fuck YEAR god of War 3! I thought they did an incredible job. People will say it's too short but these are probably the same people who didn't like portal for the same reason. The game was just a crazy ride, and there were so many parts that looked like a painting/model.Hazy said:I think it's a waste of $15.
I loathed Crash and Overgrown - so paying $15 for 3 new maps isn't anywhere near the top of my list.
Besides, I have a family to feed!
[sub]Not really, I'm just really pinching pennies for God of War III.[/sub]
You need to stop drinking champagne. Anyway, I'll never pay Infinity Ward another cent, much less 10 euros or 15 dollars. The maps don't feature any sort of interactivity besides a few things that you can shoot and make explode. I'd rather play in a frakin'(Yeah, I use an apostrophe, so you know I'm cool.) maze. Come to think of it, it would probably feature the same amount of places meant to "camp" at.bjj hero said:I'll be getting it. £10 won't even buy a round in the pub.
Where do you live? A pint is almost £3 around here. Next rounds on youIHateDaManSkirt said:You need to stop drinking champagne.bjj hero said:I'll be getting it. £10 won't even buy a round in the pub.
Haha yeah I'm mostly a console gamer myself and have pretty much given up on ever seeing an update to the console TF2..... soooo yeah we need more companies to be like Valve minus the whole not releasing on console part.ArcWinter said:Yeah, not every game company totally ignores all console users who bought their game. No, no, that's fine. TF2 is still fun with all the glitchers and 8-year olds. We don't need any patches or updates. Keep going with your PC maintenance, we aren't jealous.Jsnoopy said:I would if it was $5 or MAYBE $10 but my parents would notice and get pissed over $15 haha.Sh0ckFyre said:Can I point out that for the most part, many of you will not be using your own money, but your parents' credit card and/or money and gas and car to buy a Microsoft Points card at Wal-Mart?
The whole complaining about it is kinda pointless though, because no matter what price the map pack(s) are for MW2, they are going to sell very, very well, and Activision knows this which is why they are charging more for it. A total dick move, but unfortunately, not every game company is like Valve.
I think that's more Microsoft's fault, not Valve's. I'm pretty sure MS would want Valve to charge for the updates instead of making them free.Jsnoopy said:Haha yeah I'm mostly a console gamer myself and have pretty much given up on ever seeing an update to the console TF2..... soooo yeah we need more companies to be like Valve minus the whole not releasing on console part.ArcWinter said:Yeah, not every game company totally ignores all console users who bought their game. A free map pack!the monopoly guy said:I think that developers should either release this kind of stuff for free, ... Bad Company 2 already has a map pack ...
And made us wait another couple of weeks while they make a couple more maps?the monopoly guy said:they might as well have just released it with the game instead of making us pay for 2 new maps right away...
The argument of getting killed a lot isn't a very solid one, that's a result of a lack of skill on the part of the player. As for the story, I've never seen Black Hawk Down, but I have seen Red Dawn and I must say that "RUSSIANS ARE INVADING AMERICA!" is not a blatant ripoff. Also, How could it have stolen the mission briefings from Battlefield 2? MW2 not only came first, but Call of Duty 4 had those same mission briefings. If anything, Battlefield 2 ripped of Call of DutyMad Stalin said:what the... the story was completely retarded and the singleplayer was just bad. dying 500000 times from enemys you cant see unless you die the require 500000 times to figure out where youre being shot from. and the story is just a rip of of red dawn mixed with blackhwak down with mission briefings stolen from the intro to battlefield 2Iconsting said:What makes you think it was a waste of money? Even if the multiplayer did leave much to be desired, that doesn't change the fact that the campaign mode has one of the best stories ever seen in a realistic FPS and the co-op mode was equally as entertaining. Maybe you should play the game before you make statements like that, eh?Composer said:i didnt waste my money on buying that game in the first place!
Actually dying in MW2 ALWAYS occurs due to shitty spawns and overpowered weapons. Skill rarely has anything to do with dying in this game.Iconsting said:The argument of getting killed a lot isn't a very solid one, that's a result of a lack of skill on the part of the player.
It's your generic boring summer blockbuster. I'd love it if you actually stated what was good about the story tho. Also, the campaign lasts no more than 4 to 5 hours. If that in your eyes justifies 60 bucks then you have extremely low standards.Iconsting said:As for the story
The Co-Op mode does not make up for a broken multiplayer and a shitty campaign.Iconsting said:the co-op mode was equally as entertaining.
Oh come on. Even the most moronic fanboy aknowledges the fact that Modern Warfare 2 is in no way realistic. The way the guns handle is a pretty fucking thumbs up to arcade First Person Shooters.Iconsting said:Realistic FPS
except the bad company 2 maps are free, so I fail to see a problem.the monopoly guy said:I think that developers should either release this kind of stuff for free, include it in the game itself as release or wait a bit longer after release. This doesn't apply as much to MW2 since it has been out for about 6 months, but Bad Company 2 already has a map pack and other DLC scheduled to come out really soon, as well as a lot more on the way. It's all the worse because BC2 has only about 10 unique maps to begin with (not including squad game types) and hasn't even been out a month. At that point they might as well have just released it with the game instead of making us pay for 2 new maps right away. Anyway, I think IW should worry more about polishing the content that players already have then just adding more to it, especially since it's guaranteed to create even more problems.
