You cant say you like the COD games until you have decided weither or not you like COD:2.. COD:2 is a masterpiece.. It is how COD games should be! COD:3 was a less good version of COD:2.. I was hopeful after COD:3 for a new and better game i mean after all they did rush COD:3... But then they gave me this shit? COD:4 Can lick a donkey ass! COD: MW2 can lick a dirty mexican anus! They need to get back to the formula that made there games worth playing and improve on it!

Meh I went from 4:1 K/D in CoD4 to 2.4:1 in MW2.
CoD4 does play better, less lag and no 1000MS difference in killcam and reality, that's the main reason MW2 fails big time.

The guns aren't balanced and IWnet is just plain shit. The Killstreaks are also bullshit and the game is a big camp-fest played at 100 MS. No, Modern Warfare 2 is in no way superior to Call of Duty 4 just because it "fixed" some of the perks. They need to do a whole lot of fixing to that game before it's going to become as playable as CoD 4.

I really like MW2 more than CoD 4 online. A part of it is that I'm actually quite good at it, and I am worse at CoD 4. I just haven't really found any faults with MW2.

Reinstalled COD4 last night and had a couple of games, and enjoyed it more than any MW2 games I've played in the last month.

The pace is so much faster, everyone rushes and it just has a much bigger fun factor... I can't quite place why, it just does.

I quit MW2 a week ago because I wasn't enjoying it, it was just too much rage.

Funny thing is, I'm terrible at COD4, my ratio is 0.98, while I am much better at MW2 (1.7 ratio), but playing COD4 is just much more fun to me, even though I die a lot more.

Has anyone else gone back to, what I feel, is still the superior Call of Duty game?

Or do you feel it's dated now and you prefer to move forward for good?

I own MW2, but I'll happily say that Cod 4 was alot more fun, and also there weren't as many complete arseholes on it. Seriously... in my country Modern Warfare 2 only attracts loud mouthed little imbeciles who have nothing better to do with their time other than get really good at that one game, get to level 70 and then brag about how awesome they are. Well I can guarantee that 99% of them wouldn't be able to tell me what a multicore or an XLR cable does.

I is but the community has dropped a bit as there are more hackers in it but according to xfire [www.xfire.com] both CoD4 and CoD2 are more played than MW2 which I love that.

Also KDR doesn't mean a lot mine was about nearly 2:1 when I started to get weapon camos by the end I had given up and it was 0.9:1. So yeah I hadn't gotten worse just not good with shotguns so KDR means nothing also the longer you play them more it evens out by the time I was finished mine was 20,000:17,000ish give or take.

Well martyrdom and launchers are imba. Although with the other stuff it's their server they can do what they like with it. If you don't like how it is run you can stick with or go and find a new server.

I actually found CoD4 online much more frustrating. On that, my ratio must be about 0.40 (but its been a long time since I checked. On MW2, its about 0.83.
I'm not sure what it is about it, I just find the online experience much more enjoyable on MW2 in comparison to C0D4. That said, CoD4 is much better than WaW: that game caused so much rage...

While I love both games COD4 seems more chilled out to me now [but that's probably because the majority of people have moved onto MW2], whereas MW2 is rushed, the games are over in 5 minutes. It's a good game until you get annoyed and then it's just a good idea to put the controller down and back away from the game. I also noticed that MW2 makes people a hell of a lot more annoyed than COD4 did and it somehow does it faster.

I like CoD4 far better than MW2. The game is simply designed better, and while it's still really easy, it doesn't feel like I'm being spoonfed kills.

That said, I can't wait for November so I can play Call of Duty: Vietnam.

Nothing to do with nostalgia, I only started playing COD4 6 months ago.

It's the map design, the speed and fluidity of the gameplay... that's what I prefer.

Also, in COD4 one gun class doesn't dominate all others, there are uses for all types of gun.

I also hate the killstreaks in MW2 and the akimbo addition.

Single player is great though.

The soundtrack was great too.

I completely agree with the OP?s opinion, on how Call of duty 4 seems to have a faster pace of action than Modern warfare 2. I actually loaded the game up last night for nostalgic reasons, and found that I actually enjoy it far more. Also I seem to be better at Call of duty I suck at modern warfare 2.
