I've always been a fan of the White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks as far as sweet coffee goes.wulfy42 said:I had a weird dream thing happen this morning and now I can't sleep. I'm about to head out in about 30 minutes and grab a breakfast and some good coffee (on the other side of town).
I'm VERY picky on my coffee even though most people would probably say I ruin it with so much sugar and milk. Thing is I hate burnt coffee beans, I like my coffee to be smooth and strong as a base and then I reduce the strength with sugar/milk. A expresso is just too strong for me although I often do get Cafe Americano's at Starbucks with it only halfway filled up with water. I think add a bunch of milk/sugar and it's decent at least. Starbucks drip coffee just isn't good enough for me (They burn their beans usually).
I'm gonna hit the Sunrise Cafe in Gilroy though in 30 more minutes or so....they open at 6am....and I'm ready for breakfast!!
PS. I procrastinate on papers as well.....often finishing them hours before they are due. It's a really bad habit. On the positive side I can write a 3000 word paper in about an hour at this point with references and citations included....so I guess procrastinating is good for something.
Oh, and I have a 3.98 with 2 classes left to finish for my Masters![]()

And that's pretty impressive to be able to write papers that fast. it takes me at least four hours to write a 2000 word essay.
That's actually Grimsprice's avatar, and I think he still has it (amusingly enough we are both from the same state although he is further north than me). Mine is a screenshot of the most recent trailer for the TV version of A Game of Thrones. It's Sandor "The Hound" Clegane.benzooka said:I am drinking coffee right now actually.
Nowadays I like my coffee with just a bit of sugar to take off most of the bitterness and some milk. I prefer my coffee to be dark; Parisienne being a favorite.
The best luck with your paper GrimTuesday!

Actually, that's a myth. Apples do not contain caffeine. They do, however, contain glucose and other carbohydrates which gives you an energy boost, which may explain the myth.Kirkby said:o also if ur tryin to stay awake apparently apples have more caffeine in them than coffee
I grind my beans and use a french press too. I don't like the drip coffee makers, they just taste kind of bland. If you live near a Costco they have some pretty good beans there that you can buy in large amounts. That where I got the stuff I'm drinking from and it is really good. I got some that were from Rwanda that were really good but I haven't been able to find any more as of late.the antithesis said:Actually, that's a myth. Apples do not contain caffeine. As for coffee, I could talk about it for days. I used to roast my own beans before I couldn't swing the expense and time. What I have found is that there are many little things you can do to improve the quality of your coffee. These days I suffer the whole beans from a grocery store, but they are fresh ground using a burr grinder and brewed in a French press. I find this brews a cup of superior flavor and body. Fresh roasted coffee would make it even better, but I'd have to drive an hour to get to the closest roaster to here.
