How about a game where you fall from screen to screen for five hours, nothing to land on or hit, you can control your direction but that's it, its all set to a mellow song on loop. When you finally hit the ground you die.

That is an interesting game you just have to explore a bit.

The most boring game would be a Sims style game where you play a rich kid so you don't have to work so you just sit around eating Cheetos, drinking Mountain Dew, and playing WoW/Dota.

Interesting from your point of view sure. But, I did every step. I completed the game. It was just boring to me. The only reason it gets any pass is because the developer slapped an arty label on it which causes people to then read too much into the source material and declare it really good when it's really just boring. I explored every bit, and every bit was boring to me. You might have gained something, and that's wonderful. But that doesn't I did or had any fun along the way. Hell, if it was a non-independent FPS people would just be complaining about its blandness.

Actually it would be interesting a first person game made by a big company. Some of us don't need every game we play to be a blood fest kill'em-all type game. Besides it was free and took 5 mins to play.

Wheatly's first test in Portal 2
On a loop. For ten hours.
Soon enough it will get very, very boring.
Either that,or just another repackaging of Call of Duty (OH SNAP!)

And I hope you get a good game like that. Just don't expect me to enjoy it. You can tell me your personal opinions all you want (All though the 5 minutes and free thing is a fact, just so there's no miscommunication), but they're not going to change mine. And I never said I wanted every game to be a blood fest, but he asked for a boring game concept, I gave him boring game concept.

Mine's like half life, except instead of alien fighting it's just a normal day of theoretical physics. The first boss level would be deriving k for a newtonian field.

Did anyone say desert bus yet ?

8 hours of bus driver simulation. no obstables, no nothing , gotta drive to las vegas in real time, the bus drifts slightly to the left to keep players from falling asleep , and if you go off the road , you get towed back in real time too :) .

An open world game set in massive city with no combat, no platforming, no driving, and no NPCs.

You just walk around...and find collectibles in alleyways.

And the collectibles? They're just pennies.

You can't even spend them on in-game stuff.
That is an awesome game.

Anyway, game idea! Filing paperwork, but without getting paid for it. I call it "The Intern".

My friend had a game like that on his phone

It was awesome.

But the people you have to escort can only move one metre a day. Real time.

You play as the tolerant friend of an ignorant asshole. He walks around and fucks shit up and it's your role to apologise for everything. The final boss is sitting in the waiting room of a hospital with him while he's playing Angry Birds as he waits to get treated for his STD.

Come up with a concept for a game that sounds as boring as possible, most likely this game will be using the crysis or unreal engine to pump out superb graphics, but because the game is boring, the graphics capabilities will be made redundant.

Here's mine: A game about being a milk man, basically its a bit like Crazy Taxi meets GTA4....except without the violence, police, stealing, racing, or any other form of fun whatsoever. Objective of the game, drive to the next person on your satnav's house and deliver their milk before the time runs out, deliver all the milk you can within a certain time to beat a high score. Has superb (almost realistic) graphics and 100% accurate gameplay....all for no particular reason whatsoever :)

Oh, and you can't run people over, otherwise you lose points, game over, you're fired and jailed.
How about a game where you and your friends line up in a straight line, and take turns running over to a bad guy, punch them ONCE, then run back. That game would suck so bad.
-_0 I see what you did there....
