Come play TF2 Halloween stuff with Escapists.

Going to attempt to try and get a few of these going I think if there is interest. Join the groups etc and express interest! If a small amount of you organise stuff together the server should fill up on it's own, whether there's an announcement or not.[hr]

It's been a long time since most of us from the TF2 group actually played TF2, so posting this here to get some people who may actually be interested and active in TF2 to join.

EDIT:
Minor note, if you have [ESC] at the start of your name you should get a reserved spot, also if you're pubclub member that'll also give you priority.

I'm not in the TF2 group (maybe I should be?) but I'm jumping into this now. I'll keep my eyes open for the [ESC]'s out there...

EDIT: Nobody was playing, but I've added the [ESC], making my name "[ESC] DrunkOnEstus". I've also added my Steam info on my profile and I was already in the Pub club, so I suppose I'm set when I check the server first every time I play.

I'm really not a fan of the new map, but I could try to play some tonight. I guess it's not really the map, but the fact that people have resorted to standing around doing nothing for minutes at a time while waiting for Merasmus to appear. They even do this when everyone (or almost everyone) on the server already has the hat and achievement for going through Skull Island.

In other news: My friends and I made it to the last 20 enemies for the Nightmare MvM. 20!!! And we had an A for money collection (I was the Scout). That one section where 96 Spies spawn all at once while you're trying to take down 2-3 tanks is insane.

Yeah all these replies are 4 hours after it started! We had a few hours of gaming and then it died down a bit.

The servers used to be full daily, but everyone from ye' old days has moved on to other games and only come back briefly during events. I don't think we've "advertised" much outside of the TF2 group for a year or two.

There is !nominate & !rtv if the server is empty anyone who wants to reset it to a halloween map can just jump on and do that, it will likely fill much quicker with halloween events running. The new halloween one is koth_lakeside_event.

I'll post an event later in this Steam group [http://steamcommunity.com/groups/EscapistTF2] so if you have Steam open it should give you a little nudge saying we're going to try and fill the server up.

Was good for a while last night, I'm up for trying to get it going again tonight. It's just our "server regulars" are incredibly inactive in TF2 now, so the server rarely gets filled up. Would be good to get some active TF2ing Escapists around again so it gets used, bring friends!

I'm on TF2 almost every night (note the ridiculous number of hours per two weeks). I'm in a clan and prefer to stay on our servers so I can do admin duties, support our servers, and play with my friends there. But I'd hop on the US Escapist servers too. I'm pretty sure my ping would be too terrible on the UK ones. At the very least, we can organize an MvM from time to time. Only takes six people. Though I'm done with Mann Ups...spent too much money on tickets, so had to draw a hard line.

EDIT: I'm pretty terrible about checking user groups. I tend to forget about them and check in only a few times a year.

Multiply into numerous players and flock to the server.

It's fairly difficult to resurrect this even on Halloween, there just isn't enough interest to get a game going without spamming everyone's announcement areas and I don't want to do that daily.
