I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this... Have you ever been made to laugh by a game? Maybe just crack a smile? By this I don't mean 'so bad it's good' dialogue - such as the mind blowingly terrible opening cutscene to Devil May Cry 4. I mean the game tried to insert a bit of comedy and was successful.

Prince of Persia did a relatively good job, kinda sounds like a Pixar film at times though...

the interaction between prince and elika in PoP,

it added humour to what was an average game, sometimes it was haha that was bad, others it was genuinely funny

Psychonauts and Portal are the two funniest games I've ever played. Like tears rolling down my face funny.

Agreed! I didn't want to mention Grim Fandango again cause I tend to go on and on about it though.

Agree with the Prince of Persia's up there ^

But the game that makes me laugh the hardest is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (which, probably makes sense, Nathan Drake's voice actor is the very same as the new Prince of Persia.)

I love this part:

"Just.. be careful."
"I always am!" *Walks into the frame of a doorway* "AW, I did NOT see that!"

I think every game has had moments that got a chuckle out of me or more.. even SR2 had me laughing every time poor Pierce tried to give you info, only to have Shaundi beat him to the punch..

and you gotta admit tossing fireworks out the back of a truck was giggle worthy.


now there are some classics that were great for laughs...

Sam&Max hit the road

Maniac mansion " day of the tentacle "

All the monkey islands " though I still love the pirate song in curse of monkey island"

the original leisure suit Larry line " the new ones are just....dare I say more crass and potty humor than anything.

I found Amped 3 to be one of the funniest games I ever played. The cutscenes are pretty well thought out and creative when compared to the amount of same old cutscenes we get today.

my point exactly, such randomness, it showed the games light heartedness, i like that
