Agree with the Prince of Persia's up there ^

But the game that makes me laugh the hardest is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (which, probably makes sense, Nathan Drake's voice actor is the very same as the new Prince of Persia.)

I love this part:

Hm...that's intersting. You said Drake has the same voice actor as the Prince? Because I'm fairly sure that's a shout-out to Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. "Stay on your guard." "I always am."

I doubt it.. He was in Uncharted before he was in Prince of Persia, and even then, that's a pretty obscure reference. :] But that would be cool.

And Fable 2/1 were also pretty funny. "What kind of child IS that- ..oh. It's a dog.."

The penny arcade games are very funny. Saints Row 2, Sacred 2, Prince of Persia, monkey island, conkers bad fur day. There are lots, and I love games that don't take themselves to seriously.

Psychonauts and Portal are the two funniest games I've ever played. Like tears rolling down my face funny.

Sure. No One Lives Forever 1 & 2 are both very funny. Portal comes to mind too!

Many different adventure games have great humour, and many action games have comic relief just like movies do.

Space Quest 6! Well, I thought it was really funny back in '95 anyway. As for more recent examples, the Paper Mario games sometimes make me chuckle, although it's all in a family-friendly Nintendo way of course.

Apart from games with actual comedic writing in which have been mentioned [Sam and Max, Portal etc...] I'd have to say Oblivion: Shivering Isles for classic character Lord Sheogorath. Some quite funny lines. Generally though modern games get laughs from bad dialogue which isn't so much my ticket, I prefer actual humour. PoP just ended up annoying me if I'm honest.
