Comedy in Games

Planescape Torment. For the most part it's a 'serious' RPG that hits on existential themes, but one character is a floating skull who usually spews inappropriate insults at otherwise solemn moments. Some of the dialog in the Brothel of Slaking Intellectual Lusts is golden too.

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. The game itself sucks so much, but it is actually really really funny.

Fable 2. Fridays is poker night.

Oh man that part is so funny if I can remember its like "Wednesday we have the sacrifice the chickens. Thursday we bathe in said blood. Friday is poker night of course."

This part in Mass Effect [http://www.xfire.com/video/79c1/] where it's so cold, that it is unwise to stick a wet object (for example a tongue), to a metal surface. Taken slightly out of context, this results in a rather strange comment for two human girls, and one hermaphrodite alien together in an elevator.

And ofcourse, Guybrush Threepwood is my hero of all times!

Sam 'n' Max Hit the Road is quite funny. I liked Monkey Island 3 too. Battlefield Bad Company has some humorous moments.

It's very difficult to do humour in games because of the interaction and pacing.

I recently bought Vampyr and it's awful, not funny at all imo.

Portal.
A few moments in the new PoP made me laugh.
Team Fortress 2 has some great lines (and the 'meet the team' videos).
I remember a few moments in the KOTOR games that were funny.
Castle Crashers has a moment or two as well.

Hello - Bad Company

Battlefield: Bad company has some pretty good lines. Also, the bit in Splinter cell: Pandora Tomorrow where one of the guards describes an attck by a ninja on an oil rig he was working on, one which featured in the first game. When you take him hostage, he can't believe his luck and being held hostage by a real ninja. "Killed by a Ninja? That's so cool!".
Half Life Ep 1 made me laugh when Alyx pretended to be a zombie behind you, and then got embarassed when Gordon fails to laugh at her Zombine description.

its wasn't said by anyone it comes up while the game is in a loading screen.

Monkey Island is always fun, and then there's Kingdom of Loathing, which is always a source of a laugh or two. Portal is great, Deus Ex has a few laughs, and Red Alert 3 is capable of making you laugh with one or two cunning lines, and occasionally the "This are my serious face!" acting.

portal! hands down... i also liked the humor in games like jak and daxter and ratchet and clank.. i thought they were funny

Fallout 3

Had some funny moments. Especially that giant robot on the last quest. Did anyone else find that funny...but awesome at the same time?

GLaDOS's line about "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day" actually made my mom laugh. Made my mom laugh. When you hear about those mothers who rail against video games for poisoning today's youths, that's my mom. I think that's pretty damn successful comedy.

EDIT: The World Ends With You's Tin Pin side story made me crack up on several occasions. XD
