It starts off with a brief rundown of the last two books, then I only read about two pages of the actual story (it takes off right from the end with Jack's little predicament). I then forced myself to stop because chances are I would get carried away and finish it before I leave on Friday.

I can barely imagine the sort of extremely awesome stuff that has been put into this book.
Its a great book, :) but i shall hush in case if spoiling it :)

Have you read his other material?

Yeah I have read all his other books, I wanted to read the Seven Ancient Wonders and Six Sacred Stones before this came out but my school library believes I still have a book that I returned months ago so I couldn't borrow them. The rundown at the start was much appreciated by me then. Thanks for the not spoiling it as well. :D

None. None. Oh and none. But seriously, assuming that said Comic/Book/Game didn't fail as hard as all other movie conversions seem to do then either 'Assassins Creed', 'Half-Life' or any novel by Terry Pratchett. This is assuming that the conversions won't fail of course...

Movies based on books usually tend to cut a lot of the really juicy characterization out, simplify the plots beyond belief, and generally end up looking very little like the books they're ostensibly based on. Comic books and game adaptations rarely fare better. That being said, we now live in an age where a few shining examples (Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta, etc.) have shown us that it can be done well, so I'll play along.

Hands-down one of my favorite books is Warchild by Karin Lowachee. I would love to see this one made into a movie. It has the outer trappings of a space opera with a conflict between humanity and the alien strivs, but it's really more nuanced and character-driven than most titles in the genre. Of course, I have a feeling that the things I love about the book would probably get lost in translation. The asexual protagonist would probably get a female love interest jammed down his throat, the subtlety of the conflict between humans and aliens would likely be eliminated, and the Big Bad would probably lose the defining trait that makes him so bad, if only because it's rather uncomfortable. Done right, the book could be an awesome political SF, but done wrong it would just be another Star Wars knock-off. So I take it back, I don't want to see it adapted.

Comics - Amory Wars
Books - Zombie Survival Guide as a cheesy/funny 20/30 minute movie (I don't read much)
Games - Mass Effect. Or Painkiller directed by Michael Bay with explosions. Or Garry's Mod.

...Okay. Well, my answer is probably going to be stupid, but here goes...

The Warriors: Jailbreak.

It's a comic. Dabel Bros. Publishing. Pretty much what happened after the credits on the movie which it follows. However, they haven't released all the comics for it yet (If it takes them this long to release a 4-comic series, I'm not sure what to think. They are way behind.), so it could be utterly pathetic and should be forgotten. However, given that it involves the Warriors, I doubt my sad little fangirl mind would accept it...

Or they could make a version of the Illiad set either in modern times or in another setting...

Nice, like both of your options. The Illiad as an epic space opera?

Damn you!! Now I want to go rent The Warriors!!

It's on Youtube actually. Has been for quite some time.

Nice to know that there are always more Warriors fans out there. ^_^

Books: This is a hard choice for me since almost every book that I would want to see as a movie has been either made into one or is supposed to be made into one in the future. But if I had to choose a new one, 'Jennifer Goverment' by Max Barry would seem like the kind of book that would make for a good film. Movie about what the world would be like if the corporations managed to more or less take over. Not nearly as apocalyptic as you'd think.

Comics: Same issue here. But a Runaways movie or perhaps an Ex Machina film would be pretty nice to see.

Games: Either Drakengard or Onimusha here. Drakengard for the huge frickin' battles with the crazy dragon action. Onimusha for the crazy martial arts and swordfighting scenes.

I would give my left nut for a Halo movie.......
I will get the knife...It?s been planed...

Are you going to keep your word?
Well, no. I meant that if I got a call from Bungie saying "We will make the halo movie if you give us your left nut."(Which is kind of a weird image) I would do it. Now I can have BOTH my nuts AND the halo movie! YAH!!!

Games: None. Not even Metal Gear Solid.

Comics: Blacksad would be kickass (Google it).

Books: Hermux Tantamoque, that would be even more badass (Google it again).
