Just started playing the build an army destroy someone elses type games anyone got any advice or tips as far as an order of things to build etc...

Anyway, I don't own the game (have played beta though) so I can't really contribute on this matter.
(Except fro this: when soviet build lots of bullfrogs and load them with infantry. Ride them to the enemy base and shoot them over the defences. Success is guaranteed on players who haven't been bullfrogged yet)
