Additionally, I'd like to just say that I think the whole idea of a Mass Effect movie is terrible. The narrative of the game was created specifically for a videogame format. The entire Mass Effect galaxy would lose so much if it were made into a movie. Think about it: even if you forsake all side missions, the game still takes about ten hoursat minimum, if you're really, really good. If you try to condense all the branching storylines, settings, dialogue, and characters from something that long into something one fifth the length, it will not work. At all.
The main reason games have been considered for translation into movie form is because their narratives are underdeveloped, and people want to see how they are as movies. Mass Effect doesn't need this, because it is already a complete, excellent story just the way it is. It will only be made worse if it is turned into a movie.
