No one because then it would ruin the movie because the point of Mass Effect is creating your own character that is why the books never focus on Shepard.

Now for Commander Stand-in I choose Samuel L Jackson, or Lester Speight, or Will Smith or that black guy from The Expendables, I find those guys hilarious.

It would be cool though if during the movie they have a panel where the majority audience gets to pick a path.

May I direct you to Nathan Fillion kicking a man through an engine? That's a Renegade action of I've ever seen one.

Most of those QTE renegade actions seemed perfectly reasonable. Indeed, since there were few moments in the game where you could choose either a paragon route or a renegade route, I generally took the renegade option. They often simply made sense given the circumstances. Even if you want to play a boyscout, it makes more sense to foil an ambush than fight your way through it, and given I was going to just shoot everyone anyhow why not set a few of them on fire to make it easier? I mean, it wasn't like there was a polite solution to either problem.

I am thinking Brad Pitt could probably pull it off very well. He is a very good actor and has played a huge variety of roles. He also looks quite a bit like the default Shepard.

outside the batman movies christian bale is a terrible choice and i really hate how he acts

as for my choice i dont know Mathew fox's imdb page says he's attached to the project but since ive only seen him as racer x in speed racer im not convinced he's the best choice

id go for Sam Worthington as he played a nice military character in avatar and terminator salvation (infact he was one of the better leads in that movie WAY serpassing Bale)

Sheperd should be a little cocky or have a swagger in his/her step at the very least. Both of these two could pull it off really well with the right vibe IMO. Channing would have to learn how to be careful of seeming too forelorn or troubled. Michelle would have to watch it and make sure she doesn't swagger too much. But I think either one of these two could pull off a good role simply by keeping an eye on their own reigns. It suits them. Shepard is cocky.
