Ok, the first time he did that commercial, i could forgive him. Everybody makes mistakes. However, he's on like the 7th version of that bastard of a commercial. There is no forgiveness, and for being such a commercial whore, his soul is dead, and he is going straight to hell. I wouldn't be surprised if a deep black void opened beneath him when he is in the middle of filming the next version, and he is sucked straight to hell. Wouldn't complain, either.

Now this is a prime example of what I want in this thread. You win first place my friend.

Blame the TV rating system, sometime in the 80's they thought it wold be a good idea to extend the alowed time for a commercial from 30sec to 60sec or more if you paid a fine

Ok, I personaly have so many of these, as I imagine most people do... but two stand out painfully in my mind.

The first is for strawberry flavoured mini-wheats. The song they sing, the horrendous cartoon animation, the dancing and the sound of that stupid talking wheat/human hybrid's voice. All of these combine to create a truly god-awful TV experience. The song drills right into your skull and stays there for weeks - driving you mad!

The second is for a product called "head-on" basically, a stick of some medicinal concoction that you rub your forhead. The ad itself is simple enough, with an anouncer yelling (three times repeated) "Head On! Apply directly to your forhead! Head On! Apply directly to your forhead!"

If either of these come on while I'm watching TV - it's a mad scramble to change the channel or hit the mute button, otherwise I've got crappy music and/or slogans stuck in my head for weeks and a renewed sence of anger to deal with!

That new Cadbury's advert with those kids freaky eyebrows. Stupid, pointless and in no way makes me want to buy chocolate (if anything it puts me off the brand).

Well, no. Frustration is good to let out, not hate. Hate shouldn't be let out, hate shouldn't even exist. So I disagree.

If hate did not exist then how would love? There has to be an opposite really or there is no comparison and therefore nothing to gauge it by; and if you can't gauge it then how do you define it, and if you cant define it then how can it exist?

On topic though, that one satellite tv one that tells you to listen for sixty seconds. I hate longer than thirty second commercials.

There was this instructional ad they had in the UK for about a year which was about what you should do to avoid a 'cold snap' when you leave your house for winter. They showed that advert so many damn times that I can remember most of the words to it and I didn't want to remember it, I just saw it in every advert break, it was inescapable. This was on maybe 5 years ago and I still remember it so clearly because I wanted it to die but it never did. It also looked like it was made about 10 years before it was shown and was so horrendously cheesy it made you sick.

I hate those damn Aussie shampoo commercials with the damn purple kangaroo. Other top nominees include Strawberry Miniwheats and those god damned Mini Pop Kids commercials. The whole lot of them. They always redo the most overplayed songs imaginable, they look like a bunch of twats, and they can't sing for shit.
