This is kind of old, but new to me, probably new to some other people, and simply too boss not to share regardless:

Yes, yes, it's Guitar Hero for the Commodore 64.

That satisfies something deep inside that I can't describe and probably shouldn't.

As an ex-C64 geek and Basic "programmer" (uses inverted quotes wisely there!) I suspect I'm one of the few people alive on earth who can truly claim to think that you're "awesome" and not "insane". Baffling in its sheer uselessness, but superb nonetheless!

The C64 was a synthesiser on steroids and it had a fantastic sound chip for its time. Some of the musical scores on games like The Last Ninja are legendary.

I had that joystick that is sitting ontop of the telly in that pic.

See, and here I thought this was going to be a thread on H.E.R.O.

And if that thing you posted wasn't awesome I would be really disappointed.

I need to point out in the interests of full disclosure that I had nothing to do with creating the mess of awesome in that picture. Maddoctorscat seems to believe that I am some sort of soldering whiz, but my participation in that project involved:
a) stumbling across it on the Interwebs
b) copying it
c) pasting it in this thread

That said, I can only hope that God is rewarding this person's genius with the appropriate number of nymphs and accolades.

Last Ninja 2 (remember those opening chimes on the first load screen?), Last Ninja 3 (remember the opening with the lightning that cuts out just as the shuriken's about to hit the back of the guard's neck?), Outrun (Splash Wave and Magical Sound Shower - damn, I even remember the names!), Sly Spy (best unlicensed James Bond ripoff ever), Rambo (but you've got that one!), and half a dozen mini RPGs (can you remember one where you had to get a dagger from a vampire to kill a minotaur and steal it's amulet? I can't remember what it was called now...) I'm sure I could come up with a lot more if I tried, but those were my favorite.

Well I assumed "Last Ninja" meant the series, although 3 could've been better.

Turbo Outrun's Title screen was a Magical Sound Shower Remix.

I can't remember that particular one, but I was usually all about Action/Football Games.

I wish I could find it on YouTube but the load music for Rastan Saga on the C64 was mindblowingly brilliant! Bionic Commando also had great music on some of the levels.

I think that Armalyte also had good music from memory.
