I boycott Cadbury, for calling "Chocolate" their vomit-goo mixture with mostly vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter.
Don't even start me about Hershey, good thing they're hard to find over here in UK.
The EU should just ban them both!

I don't completely boycott any software or hardware vendor, but I stand well clear from Apple, Amazon and anyone trying to lock me into their crippleware (hard or soft) strategy.
If I get a choice I only buy or use things that are open (source), extensible and supporting standards.

Sorry, what's BT and RBS?

It'd be interesting to hear why you hate them, too.
British Telecom and the Royal Bank of Scotland I assume. I am a long suffering BT internet user so I can sympathise, but I've no idea about the bank.

McDonalds screwed me over so often and so hard as a child that I had to call Chris Hansen am still boycotting them.

My local Books-a-million would be on my boycott list if there were any alternatives (they've tried to sell something I ordered from them, after they dragged me around for 3 weeks past when they said it would be in, told me they would never stock something only for it to appear a week after my order online came in the mail, lied to me about dates, and have screw up pricing on a few items).

While I havent boycotted Activision yet, seeing their logo means that even if it is a game I've been waiting for, I do a bit more research in scores and opinions before I pick it up (though if Prototype 2 ever comes out, I'd buy in an instant if only so Activision doesn't kill off Radical this time around).

EA used to be on my list, but they've shaped up, and started getting better games out, have Bioware now, killed Tim Langdell's Edge copyright, and given the middle finger to Kotick. If only they could do something about their sports games...

Disney, for ruining my favourite childhood stories. Oh, and anything George Lucas made ... for Jar Jar Binks (I already own all the older stuff and I have NO intention of buying anything else he made after that, he deserves to die pennyless and alone for what he did... yes, I am pissed about JJB).

Hmmm... who else? Hershey's for making the most god-awful mess to every be called chocolate (Lindt please, no sugary crunchy crap), McDonalds for their numerous crimes against humanity and the stomachs of millions (Go to South Africa, buy a Steers Burger, easily the best fast food burger I have eaten ANYWHERE in the world... plus the chips are smothered in MSG so you can eat 2 or 3 ;) ).

Whoever made Highlander ... for those other two movies that don't exist. I will find out who is responsible one day and introduce them to their liver via a dull spoon (I might use a spork out of mercy because Highlander was so good).

I'm Irish, I'm good at nursing grudges.

Holy crap, and Eidos isn't even around anymore, is it? I think it's part of Square Enix now. Also, I've never even heard of MediMax.

I mean, EA and Ubisoft can sometimes do some crappy things, but for the most part they seem to keep their noses clean. Why don't you buy from anyone but those two companies?
I forgot Capcom and Atari, but they don't relase almost anything on the PC, so whatever.

Anyway, I won't bow to Ubisoft's PC copy protection, Activision's prices and crappyness, Take2's DLC policy and GTA-ing everything, and EA's... Well, everything that. Neither Valve's Steam. What else is there? OK THQ I don't really boycott, but they don't release games that I'd like anyway.

So I'll stick with MediMax (id Soft, Bethesda) and Eidos (Batman, TR, K&L recently; DX:HR coming). Too bad Ubi has screwed up with their copy protection. I like them otherwise.
Ah, yeah, I remember MediMax now.

Okay, so most of the stuff has to do with PC gaming. (Something I am admittedly only somewhat involved in.) I agree with the Ubisoft copy protection stuff, that is completely ourtrageous, but at the same time it doesn't affect me much because I play most of their games on console. Activision is definitely evil... Take 2... I think I could forgive any DLC policy, because you don't HAVE to buy DLC, though. Also, what do you mean they GTA everything? Lastly, what's EA done lately? I haven't heard hardly anything negative about them as of late, it's all been about Activision.

The only one I understand is McDonalds. XD The rest, I don't get why you'd boycott them.

I mean, Disney is just not my scene. I'd buy something from Disney if it was for my little sisters or something, and they're overpriced, but nothing I want to go apeshit about.

The rest, I mean... >_> I like Hershey's... Especially Hershey's with almonds. :]

EDIT: Whoops. Sorry, double post.

I assume for Steam, but my question is this:

Why does Valve have so many fanboys, and what's wrong with Steam? (If you dislike Valve for that.)

I mean, I will admit, a lot of Valve games don't seem as awesome as everyone makes them out to be, although Portal really WAS that awesome... and I love the deals I get from Steam.

And, yeah, Apple sucks.

Ummm...the best I can do is refusing to use the Total petrol station up the road again. I put £15 worth in my tank from there last month and wound up draining it all out, flushing my injection system and buying a new set of spark plugs (6) because the petrol (all of it!) was lacking one tiny but rather important property: Combustability!

Yep - even when a naked flame was applied to a rag soaked in the stuff, it would not burn...in fact it put the flame out a few times! Now I go to Esso or BP, depending on wether I am heading to or from work.

PS Don't give me shit about buying fuel from BP.

Whatever company published the Twilight books.

Everything Apple-related except the Iphone and Ipod.

McDonald's because, being a vegetarian, all I can get there are fries and a shake.

I also will never buy an Xbox, because I made an irreversible decision a long time ago before Xbox existed to stick with Playstation.

Nah, I'm not gonna' give you shit for that, though I know they caused that oil spill.

I mean, I hate almost all of the oil companies, the problem is that I fucking need gas. Dx I live in America, man, there is nowhere I can just walk to, I NEED to drive, and that means I NEED gas. x_x

1. Apple. Their products are overpriced, 98% of the fanbase are idiots, they've got fucking useless and ineffective methods of doing things and the "looks before function"-policy straight out annoys me.

2. McDonalds, because I hate their food. In Norway, they just throw an old burger in a microwave for 40 seconds. The result? A suop of some fake meat, a horrible pickle, some cheese, some salad and a bit of bread. At every Burger King I've been to, they have actually MADE the burger from scratch o_O
