Actually... wouldn't it be best to make it Console help... that way people with problems with xbox and PS3 e.t.c can go onto it for help? (just a thought)
Well no, no it wouldn't.

OT: That is a great idea, I have joined and will be happy to help!

What do you know about Linux out of interest, I am normally fine with windows, its Linux that I have to look up answers for.
I am taking red hat certification. I am halted at the moment because our IT budget is frozen while my company merges with some others. I do know some linux. I use Fedora and Ubuntu regularly.
dear god man those are the two worst distros out there

honestly if you want to learn linux, run either archlinux or slackware.

arch is a bit more simple to learn, it has a great wiki and easy to configure
slack is a man's distro and will teach you the ins and outs of the system like no other distro can

ubuntu and fedora have WAY too many issues to make them anywhere near a good distro. anything based on Redhat or Debian aren't the greatest and always have the same issues associated with those distros

Is this just for help with computer maintenance, or can it be used to help with things that involve computers? I mean stuff like Programming, hosting web sites, etc.

Because I'm taking a class on Visual BASIC, and I think this thread could help me out a lot.

EDIT: Question answered, I'll remember to read the posts next time, sorry.

I'll help with anything that I can. My little Visual BASIC experience, as well as some easy problems. I don't know a whole bunch about computers, but I can usually figure it out.

I'm in, I know enough to fix most issues. Just got done removing a very stubborn virus from my mothers computer, damn thing wouldn't let me open any program or utility other than internet explorer, and even then kept redirecting me.

Because people would be more worried about opening a console, which is sealed tighter than a ship and there's everybody saying you shouldn't? Stepping you through opening a 360 would take at least an hour real time and specialized tools.

I'll take a peek, amateur computer enthusiast here.

Bring any computer related question and we will do our best to figure things out.

This is a great idea. I do have quite an amount of experience when it comes to computers. So, I think I'll join.
