That was hilarious.

I find the character creation screen boring too. I usually just zoom right through it. The dirt option is especially dumb. To be fair though, I don't put much thought into any character creator though. People who spend hours creating a character confuse me.

It doesn't matter what my character looks like when the game is gray and boring. Sorry but I still prefer Oblivion to Skyrim.

Wouldn't have Skyrim dumbed down in any way, glad it's a game made for gamers who want all those options.
Giving you more options in the character creator and fewer options in the RPG department = dumbing it down. You traded a complex leveling system for "perks".

In my opinion, Skyrim wanted to be more like The Sims than The Elder Scrolls.

I didn't find it much more fun either. It was just drab, I can agree with him.

EDIT It was pretty funny.

"FEEL THE WRATH OF MR BUTTONS" :D
I agree with you on both fronts. I enjoy it more when other people are around since we make up things people say and have a laugh about stuff like that. I mean it's kinda like how it is in the video. Outside of that I find the game a yawn.

I can't believe people are taking this so seriously and getting offended. It's comedy people. A skit using our precious games. You might nor find it funny but geez he isn't really reviewing it. I found it funny and hope he does more.

For people that are commenting without watching the video, the 'like doing my taxes' part was talking about the character creation at the beginning, not the game itself.

Man ... I can't believe he gave it an 44XXXIV / 166

Game deserves at least 53CCLXXVII - Conan doesn't know what he's talking about at all here ...

That's kind of how I feel about his shows. Zing.

No really, they're super boring.

ofc, if he had just noticed the presets slider on the first page, he probably could have skipped all of that in a few seconds

Funny, I find watching Conan O'Brien similar to doing my taxes - boring, tedious and unfun. But just as millions of people enjoy his comedy (resisted the urge to put comedy in quotation marks there), so do millions of people enjoy Skyrim. To each his own I suppose...

I never quite got into non-gamers expressing opinions about games, just as I don't really care what people who don't watch movies have to say about movies. I myself generally shut up about things I know crap about, like sports.
Good. Someone who gets it.

Guys, Conan is being completely serious. People think that the Clueless Gamer series he does is for comedic purposes, but it's not: they're real reviews, and that's what makes them so awful. They're not part of his TV show. They're completely serious, full fledged reviews that affect metacritic. A 93 is equal to a 45 on metacritic, and a 32C++ is equal to a 90, or a 5 on opposite day. It's a ridiculous rating system that makes no sense. It's like it was designed just to make people laugh. And it's like Conan doesn't even do any research on the games he "Plays." Most of his problems, although funny, could simply be avoided if he read the instruction manual, or Googled his problem. It's like he's TRYING to make us to laugh. But we're laughing at him, because we're smarter than that, you guys.

Conan is an uneducated loon who thinks he knows enough about video games to review them, but Jandau and I have seen through his facade. He thought he could trick us, but he can't.

I really don't care what some second rate comedian who isn't a gamer has to say about video games. Why is this news?
Exactly! What is this washed up old hack doing SERIOUSLY REVIEWING VIDEO GAMES? It's not like he has a comedy show on TBS, or anything.

What? This is not Kotaku. This is a forum discussion. It's not news, it's just for anyone who wants to discuss this topic in this thread. If you're not interested move on.

I see you are fairly new here so, firstly, welcome; and secondly, just a warning, try only to add comments to a discussion when they add value to that discussion or you might get warned by the mods.

In both of these, I remember why I'm not really a Conan fan. Dude's kind of a douche. I would call his reviews a joke, but a joke is at the very least funny. These were just pretentious douching around and kind of a waste of my time.

...Why did we demand he return, again?

Didn't know about Conan having a games segment now too. Interesting. I'll watch the video later, but I must say I get the same problem with Skyrim too. There's just too many things to do, to the extent of everything feeling dull.

I actually enjoyed this more than about 90% of videos on the internet from actual gamers.

I've always liked Conan, and I'm really enjoying this series.

Also, let us not forget that Conan gave us the Sea Captain in The Simpsons.

You know you sound like a complete idiot, right? The whole point of the video series is a joke, he admits he doesn't know what hes talking about. I doubt you watched the video, because if you did you would most likely have something less stupid to say, which also makes you a liar for saying you shut up about things you don't know crap about.

Anyhow, after all that prententious bitching that I had to call out, I like this new series that hes doing with video games. Its a little silly, but its pretty funny none the less to see a person who knows nothing about video games who also has very little interest in them try to figure out how he is supposed to criticize them. Also, I love the rest of the show, too. Its funnier then the rest of the late night shows.

I did watch it and I've also watched some of his work over the years. I've yet to find any of it funny or amusing. I wasn't aware that negative comments were unwelcome and forbidden when it comes to Conan O'Brien. Thank you for enlightening me...

Oh, Coco, such fun. I do find that Skyrim is kind of tedious and boring way too much of the time. Doesn't help that Bethesda has never really attempted to fix the series.

You probably didn't watch the video, as he was saying that about the character creation bit. I don't blame you, the title of this post is really sensational and misleading, when I read it I had the same reaction. Conan was enjoying himself at a point, he didn't mean it in a malicious way.

I call shenanigans. Doin my taxes takes less time to finish than it takes me to actually get to the actual playin part of Skyrim.

For serious though. I thought it was funny.

"I scared a chicken! I didn't deserve to die!"

So true. The people of Skyrim take their chickens way too fuckin cereal man.
