Yeah, I read the thread where everyone mentioned what was overdone. I didn't post in it, but it got me thinking; what did I want to see in games again?
For starters, I'd like to see more speed platforming. Yes I do mean like the Modern levels in Sonic Generations and Daytime levels in Sonic Unleashed.
(I may have also read that thread by that guy who thought it was a great idea to flood the Gaming forum with Sonic polls.)
Why? Some of you would complain that the levels were fairly trial and error. True, but isn't Dark Souls trial and error as well? The difference here is that DS had you learn the enemy tells through trial and error, while Generations and Unleashed had you learn the levels themselves.
Well, why the speed platforming? I thought it was something that just isn't explored as much. I only remember Sega doing this. I can easily think of several ideas that could be pitched around a speed platforming game.
So, what other concepts would you guys like to see revisited?
