Concerning Justin Bieber

It's that he popped up out of nowhere a couple years ago, thinking that he's so hot despite his annoying voice and lame songs, and that he's completely sold himself out immediately. Every time I go out to shop I see his stupid little face plastered over a shit ton of things. I've been a fan of many GOOD bans for many years, and I have yet to see as many products with their logos during all those years than I have with Bieber over the past year; it makes me sick.

I swear, that kid or his parents must have some contacts in high places; how else would he have gotten so "famous" so quickly? By doing this, he makes a mockery of one of the best American dreams that anyone can make it to the big time with some skill and effort, but he completely bypassed the skill and effort part, and cut his way to the top.

Personally what irritates me is that he has his own damn biography written and he is only 16. It screams complete and utter sellout/cash in as you know there is most likely be another one when he like 30s/40s and then when he is older again. I try not to make too big of a deal out of it usually but this one thing that I can't stand. So mostly the fact he is a complete and utter sell out or will be and he has what been on the music scene for only a couple of years?

These threads are overdone... but its been a while since I've seen one here.

its not really that I hate him. he's a pop star, and while its not my kinda music, I wont crucify him for singing what he does. He's not Miley Cyrus who only got her foot in the door cause her dad was a semi big country music star and she went to pop while trying to hide between the moral country values you seem to have when you're a country star. I can say I dont find him interesting, but thats because there's no controversy to him. And I dont mean he has to go out and shoot somebody. But the biggest thing about him is he got a tattoo (or at least thought about it, thats was the most recent thing I heard on that), and that he may have called a kid Gay while playing laser tag. He's just... plain. I mean, I dont like Miley Cyrus, but at least she pole danced on an ice cream cart, (maybe) made a durogatory action about Asians, and (might have) smoked either salvia or cannabis. Shes at least interesting to watch in the news. THough I do think that putting out a book about your life at 16 is a bit much. And the movie thing bothers me, but cash ins are cash ins.

But yeah, its not really Bieber. Its his fans. I dont like how they listen to him and his music and dont give other music a chance. It corrupts the mind musically, and they're not as accepting to other bands. I'm more of a 90s rock/grunge/alt. rock kinda guy and like the new stuff of the decade that just past. So it just kinda bothers me that his fans dont respect the bands like Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, um... bands like Muse, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay and others (yes, I realize some of those bands come out as late 80s, but their success period was definitely the 90s).

Plus they ignore the classics. I remember going to work.. when was it... I think it was either Tuesday or Thursday last week and a Bieber fan girl was looking at the Bieber movie poster, and when some guy had mentioned Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns 'N Roses and even The Beatles as bands that were fad bands (this guy was pushing his late sixties to early seventies) and this girl (had to be 12 or 13) just looked up and said that she didnt know those bands but that they could never be as good Justin Bieber and that his music was not a fad and would be listened to when she was that guy's age.

So yeah... Its Bieber's lack of actions and his fan's ignorance that really bother me more then his music. His music is bearable, but I just dont like Pop.

Well... Remember, he is Canadian. Not saying anything about the Canadian Music Industry, but it might be a little bit easier to get into then the American Industry. I dont know if it is, dont quote me on that, just saying is all.
