I used to own a Gameshark and a Codebreaker for the PS1/2. I cheated damn near every game I played, usually after I beat it for the first time. I really only cheated rentals right away if I knew I was never going to buy it. FF7 was an exception. I cheated the hell outta that game.

Also in Everquest WAY back when I played I used to use my Bard and wipe out entire zones to piss off some of the rude people and shit talkers. On some occasions I've been known to wipe raids if the RLs were assholes or idiots. I wasn't alone in this either. Hell half the people I grouped with on a regular basis were worse then me.

Worst sin? Once EQ got boring I started using Macros to run my Character for me /shame. It's worth noting I haven't cheated in an MMO since.

i used to use walkthroughs all the time in games, whenever i got stuck at a hard part or something. after a while i realized that there's a certain sense of accomplishment of beating a hard game without any help. since then i've been getting better at trying hard to come up with a solution to hard parts in games by myself, and the half life series and portal have helped me get better at puzzles. that being said, the last time i used a walkthrough was for twilight princess, several times. i'm close to using a walkthrough for this stupid asteroid section in dead space, and now i realize i need to get out of here before people quote my post with a walkthrough or something.

In SSFIV, I once threw my opponent ten or eleven times in a single round when I realized they didn't know how to tech (cancel out an opponent's throw attempt). Strategically, it was one of the best things I could have done... But I didn't feel good about doing it. I'm a big believer in the "there is no 'cheap' in fighting games" mantra, but come on, the guy didn't even know how to counter it! It was like fighting a toddler who picked up the controller when big brother was out of the room!

I've done far more cheating than I'd care to admit, but I used to only be able to beat Civilization games by entering cheat mode. I was also never able to beat the original StarCraft stories without at least "Black Sheep Wall" or "OperationCWAL". I've never been able to beat an EV Nova Major Storyline without using the MegaCheat. So much cheating?

I have 2 online sins:

Playing Rogue Spear on The Zone, I once joined a "snipers bunker, no crossing" (or rather, "no xing" as people used to say). For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it was a map with bunkers on both sides and everyone played a sniper and you had to kill the people hiding on the other side. No crossing meant that you had to stay on your side of the map. So this one time, I crossed and killed everyone from behind. It took 2 games for the host to ban me =P

Playing Diablo 2 on Battle.net, I was questing in Act 4 with some random people when a guy enters the game. I open the social panel and invite him, but he doesn't accept and wanders in Act 1 for a while and leaves after a minute. Taking the cue, I TP back to town, waypoint to Act 1, then run around the first area for a while and find out that the guy had dropped some unique boots he had intended to mule over to another character. I picked them up and left as he was joining with his other character. I kind of felt bad about this one, but it was a lousy normal difficulty unique anyway.

As far as I remember, these are the only two times I acted like a jerk.

As for offline stuff, I used to read walkthroughs quite often. It's been a while since I used one now though.

Well to be honest I've used cheats in every GTA game. But then again who hasn't? The games were practically made for inputting lots of cheats and having a grand ol' time.

I also used a cheat in a Yu-Gi-Oh game on the PS1, but in my defense the game is basically impossible to beat without cheats. Seriously.

I'll start. I rushed through GTAIV with cheats so I could get the "finished story in <10 hours" achievement.
But... cheats disable achievements in GTAIV! Unless... [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP50BPXi7D4]

If I'm playing a game that I've been looking forward to playing, I won't cheat...

But if I'm playing something I'm really only playing because everybody else is, I'll use cheats and guides...
