I tried some game that I hated with every fiber of my being and actually loved it, that game? The CoD MW series, I thought I was selling myself out, but I played CoD 4 about a year ago, and I swear it was like having your first crush, except the date wasn't all awkward and 4th grade-ish.

Agreed. It's not really something you would want to own, well I mean I wouldn't want to own one. A buddy of mine has one and we play it sometimes, mostly we would rather get wasted and watch movies though, but you know............every once in a while when we're really bored Wario Ware sounds like a good idea...........................................................................not all that often though.

Okay. You liked a game on a console.
I doubt you'll like all the shovelware they haul into it.

I'll be blunt about this, I hated the Wii since it came out. I was the type to call it a kiddie system and the games for it had the habit of sucking (aiming on COD3= fail). Well on Saturday me and my mother got invited to my aunt and uncle's house for the evening. Turns out my aunt bought the Wii despite me always saying how bad it was. Well not long after showing up I realize my xbox 360 elite wouldn't work on one of their TVs. This left me with a choice. I could either sit around and talk or I could try out the Wii. I went with the latter option on the grounds that while I hated the Wii perhaps I merely had bad first impressions.

Me and my uncle ended up playing on the Wii for 3 hours (Wii Bowling and Wii Golf) and I have to say I actually enjoyed myself. Aside from one incident where I knocked a can of pepsi over and spilled a small amount on the white walls it was accident free. I had a blast playing the games and I've never seen my uncle so happy. He always hated technology and here he was playing video games. I'd always hated the Wii and here I was having a great time on it.

My arms still hurt today but it was totally worth it. By being willing to try something new I ended up having a good time. It managed to change my opinion of the Wii to something that me and my uncle can play while I'm over there during the winter. I no longer hate the Wii.

edit: Oh yes discussion topic. Ever hate something only to try it and realize you like it?
You brought your Xbox to your aunties house? Its not very polite to just plug in your shit and start playing when you were invited over there for (most likely) dinner and a nice friendly evening.

I don't really like the Wii and I'll probably never buy one.
Wii Sports is fun but it just doesn't have enough games that interest me.
So, umm... good for you.

I have a wii, but it hasn't been touched for 18 months. The only good game on it is Zelda TP and the only reason I still have it is for the new Zelda.

I have a wii, and I recently got a new game so have been playing it more. Hadn't played it for a while on account of not really having anything new to play on it. It's still cool though.

That's basically all it's good for.

Wii's okay, got as a christmas present.
Usually end up only playing nintendo games on it.
Not much else is good, (not nintendo's fault, they just want to bring fresh blood in by making games more accessable, 3rd party shovellers exploit this...).

The Wii has many many more titles than people give credit for. Anyone who says 'the Wii has no good games' is pretty much stuck up their own asshole. The only real problem I have with the console is the online infrastructure: Friend Codes are a *****. Other than that though, it's a fantastic console.

I don't really understand this...it maybe just me, but all 3 consoles seem to have very few actually good titles on them. I own a Wii, and about the only few other title that look decent for the other ones, is God of War 3 and MGS4 for the PS3, and Lost Odyssey for the 360. Which is probably why I play my PS2 a lot more now.
