It was a lot of fun when I had it. A lot.
Playing it recently though, it hasn't aged all too well, but it's still one of those games firmly ingrained in my head from when I was a wee lad.

I think Banjo tooie has aged a lot better though, more than any N64 game actually. (besides Majora's mask.)

Woo Hoo! We got the flag! We got the flag! Ner ner ne-ner ner!

Alright!

What's really amazing about it is that it's a singleplayer game first and foremost, with multiplayer sort of bolted on as minigames in the same way Banjo-Tooie did. And yet- it was still far better than the fully fleshed out, hardcorised online enabled multiplayer on the xbox. Sometimes simplicity really is better.
Indeed. I remember starting up the multiplayer on the xbox remake, and going "What the hell is this crap?!"

I didn't like the remake's multiplayer. The original's was fun, simple, and just a blast.

Sad really...

I have never had so much fun in multiplayer games
That is not hard te understand It was and mabey still is one of the best "fun" games.
It's sad that you don't see many games like that anymore. Nowadays they curse and have gore and violence, but rarely anything so darkly cutesy. I mean, who would suspect a game about a squirrel was so adult humored? And mulitplayer nowadays is pretty much all the same, no pushing into unknown and randomness of our minds. I mean, cavemen stealing dinosaur eggs and killing dinosaurs with knives and crossbows? Or FUN games, running from one base to the other, gunning each other down with dual machine guns, or the one hit magnum. And adding a chainsaw or katana?

I say Rare comes back, and Nintendo adopts them once again, and they make a game to finally succeed Conker's. I wouldn't have minded the remake (much better graphics and some fun humor hinting that it's a remake), if they didn't censor every single word that sounded slightly offensive.

I still love this game, although the controls, especially for the shooting sections, drove me nuts.

The humor involved in this game is fantastic (if you like bad jokes), and I have many fond memories of both the original N64 version (fantastic multiplayer), and the later Exbawx 360 port, which screwed the multiplayer royally, but left everything else intact.

I only first found out about Conker when the XBOX remake came around. Had a damn good time with it!

But...I've taken a look at the N64 one and that one looks cool too...

Awesome game. "You sure is lucky bastards to survive that atrocious atrocity! "

Also, surprisingly bloody.

Probably my favourite N64 game, got stuck forever at the haunted house stage but well worth it.

And the original multiplayer (The xbox version was a huge disappointment in comparison) was probably the best fun i ever had with my N64

Cavemen stealing dinosaur eggs ftw
Hi, welcome to the Escapist! Just remember to abide by the rules and stay out of the basement and you should be fine :)

I absolutely adored that game. The sequal never quite measured up.
Meh, a remake. They WERE gonna do a sequel, since at the end of Bad Fur Day, Conker walks off in the opposite direction that he did at the beginning, so he could end up someplace new and more offensive.

Right? I enjoyed it, though. Before then I only played games like MArio and Zelda (not a bad thing, but they weren't as mature as Conker's in violence). I think Conker's awakened a sadistic bastard side of me, from that day forth xD

There's nothing more fun then blowing up Teddy Bears, or shotgunning squirrels and hearing them scream lol
