I liked some of the WIP stuff a lot. Its a long way off from what I'd usually listen to, but it still sounds really damn cool. Plus there are some bits that sounded quite heavily syncopated and that's always cool. Too many people stick to boring old 4/4. Only criticism I have is that the bass could be much more potent, but maybe I'm just biased 'cos I'm a bassist, first and foremost.
Have you thought about sending these to an Indie game dev or something?
Thanks for the kind words. =)

Yeah, the bass (and some guitar) is going to be the other aspect of the songs. I'm aiming for something incredibly dirty and distorted, probably more ambient and droning than anything else but I haven't started writing that yet.

I don't know about contacting developers, I kinda dislike the constant association that chiptunes have to videogames. I much prefer seeing albums that are just songs in their own right, rather than being a soundtrack to whatever game.

Well, the Escapist has many members so I'm sure I will have unknowingly sampled some of their content on Youtube.

I draw the occasional cartoon, but that's about it.
I love your new avatar, it's awesome, and I saw some of the pictures you posted a while back and it really does look like you, your previous one was good too, but I like how this one looks better may be the fact that this one is on colour.

And are all of your cartoons hand drawn?
Because they look like they are.
Thanks!

The line art is traditional and the colour is digital. That picture you posted was actually the first one I (succesfully) coloured after getting a Wacom tablet. And it's a good thing too, because there was only so much I could do with hatchings.
Oh that explains it, the colouring did make me doubt if it was actually hand-drawn, I wish I knew what you were talking about but I don't know anything about drawing, all I know is that I like you're style it's pretty cool, but muppets are awesome and you look pretty awesome as a muppet.

I do an ask blog about the Griffon-Pony War. Pretty PG stuff, nothing too violent.

Is this all Let's Plays? Anyone done any music or whatever? Mods? Naww...

I'm writing music atm, will hopefully one day get a big enough chunk composed properly so I can justify buying Logic Pro and recording it. And then I'll have to mix it and shiz... but after all that I might post some music :)
I'm interested. Share a link to your stuff even if it's rough.
I'd have to record on a phone or something equally tacky now, and I'd rather that stuff wasn't public, but I'll try to remember to link you stuff once I've got some decent demos made.

I thought the idea was that it emulated stuff you'd be able to do with a gameboy chip or something similar? Although I can see how being associated with that and nothing else would get annoying pretty quickly. Anyways, I want to hear what it sounds like with the bass :3

I do a webcomic. I'm up to 31 pages now, so I've been working on it a surprisingly long time. (I update once a week, so, y'know)

Also I dunno if this thread is a good idea or not... With the advertising rules and all. I know there was a thread to submit user content to get featured on the site (Though that was only for videos, sadly).

I wouldn't mind being able to see more people's stuff though.

A little digital art here and there, but mostly 3D stuff, models and such I never uploaded anywhere and a quite detailed UDK map that's still not finished. A MLP Baldurs Gate soundset. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.367589-My-Little-Pony-Baldurs-Gate-2-Soundsets] And also this [http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/assassins-v2-1-a-163432/] Warcraft 3 map I made ages ago. (And a ton I never bothered to upload)

Only thing I've really made recently that I think is presentable, lol.

The most prolific right now is this:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.382076-Katawa-Shoujo-Hanakos-Story-UPDATED-06-02-2013

It's a Katawa Shoujo fanfic, but before you start saying it's crap because al fanfic is crap, please actually read it and decide for yourself. I write things that aren't fanfics too, and make an active effort to make sure every piece of fiction I write is of professional quality. I also did an article for Haywire Magazine that wasn't great, but wasn't too bad either, that was published in the last article to date (January 2013).

I also have a Deviant Art page that hasn't had anything new for ages, mainly Terragen experiments, custom desktop background requests, and more writing (older works, so less good than my current stuff that I'm keeping under wraps for now because I want to develop them and do more professional things with them later). If anyone wants to use the backgrounds then they're free to do so, by the way, and I'm happy to do some more if anyone wants to ask for a custom one from me now (free of charge, for the record - mainly it's just good practice for me at GIMP, to keep my hand in xD).

I've been writing game reviews for another e-zine for about two years now. Since the Escapist has a whole section devoted to User Reviews I doubt anyone would be terribly interested in reading mine, but just in case here's a link to the site in question:

pie-magazine.net/games/

The latest of mine is the DmC review.
Not too many reviews there, granted, but that's because the whole site was revamped and changed its domain, and most of the older stuff was on the old site.

Also, a while ago there was a thread on the forums asking members to record their voice, and when mine got a bit of positive feedback my ego was temporarily inflated, so I recorded a Warhammer 40k short story and put the result on Youtube.

"Wrath of Kharn" by William King.
Feel free to employ brain bleach at any time to delete the sound of my voice from your memory banks.

I run a review show about comic strips, if anyone's interested. Approved by the creators of Foxtrot, Zits, Lio, and Retail!

As somebody else mentioned, I watch Shamus Young's Spoiler Warning, and then a couple of LPs and blogs by Escapists who comment on his site. On my side, I'm almost finished with a 2D top-down shooter based on Starship Troopers (the book, not the movie).
