THIS. I had to shake my head and laugh at the seeming sixth sense the enemy AI possesses at Veteran difficulty level, because if I had allowed the anger to take over, I surely would have killed the nearest living thing. Equally frustrating is your teammates inability to cover your backside when you are advancing. You keep having to turn around and check your six, even though the only way to stop the enemies from spawning is to move forward. ARGH!Danzorz post=9.72897.777685 said:
Also, the first time I played through Earthbound (age 9), I could never beat Giygas. I knew about the praying thing, but I gave up when the prayers started to "disappear into the darkness." My worst would have to be when I'd nearly completed the level and had invested roughly an hour on Double agent meticulously ensuring I didn't get killed. I completed the level with nearly no health only to remember I'd forgotten to deactivate some cheat earlier, making the entire accomplishment void.
The second to last mission on any SOCOM game. For some reason the second to last is always the hardest. Which is why I have yet to beat SOCOM one. That and I just hate the fucking gameplay of it after playing 2, 3, and 4.
In GTA, from the first one to the 3d ones (dunno bout IV tho) they put in the annoying thing where you accidently scrape a cop car and get the entire police force on you. Yet no one reacts if you run around the city carrying a bazooka!
After trying about 30 times to get through the final mission in Call of Duty 4 on Veteran, I finally get to the very end, and I panic and shoot the hostage in the head. It took me another 30 or so tries to get back there and that time I really did shoot the right person, thankfully.
Also, fighting any character on SC3 on one of the higher difficulties. Anyone who's tried this knows what I mean. It's the only time I've ever thrown the controller as hard as I could at the ground.

Fighting Alma (Cheapest boss ever). Had her down to where one more hit would have killed her on my fifth try. All of the sudden she shoots this giant laser-beam out of her head (an attack which she has never done before this point)and kills me in one hit.

Trying to fight the "Ultimate Enemy" Mr. Hanekoma in The World Ends With You. I definitely felt like breaking my DS.
And I think a really breaking one woudl be when Xemnas uses his Carpal-Tunnel attack in Kingdom Hearts 2. you know what I'm referring to....when he fires a million lasers at you.

That bloody annoying sequence in Bad company where you have to run through a town full of bad guys, tanks and barbed wire ahead of your own tanks to blow up some bridges and then try and escape in a timer that wasn't just short but was also UNFAIR! blow up bridge 1 and 2,shit a tank just went across three, back to a checkpoint and then run nearly 1 kilometre through the enemies again. get six inches from pushing the plunger and watch a tank round spinning through the air en route to your face. man, that sucked
