No. A single Game, with the total Singleplayer Length of 6-7 Hours, with a Co-Op which does not last much longer and has little to no replay Value is not worth 25 bucks. Unless you are shitting Money.

Either wait for the Price to drop further, or get one of the bigger packs where its included amongst other good Games.
haha some people actually bitched that it was too long (as I said)

"ohhhhh noooooo we cant make it toooo long because then it wont be as perfect as the first game!"

6 hours...most people said the puzzles were easy but thats really speeding through it, I think I got 8 or 10 hours out of it mabye more...but it was worth it

It's ridiculously awesome. Totally different game from the first Portal. Buy it. Play it.

NOW.

It is one of the best games I have ever played. It's much longer than the first, it's more humorous than the first, it has more story than the first, the puzzles are better than in the first. It's worth way more than $25, buy it.

It was worth the full price I payed so it's certainly worth it for a cheaper price. If you like this type of game that is, if you played the original Portal you probably know if this will be worth it or not.

Did you enjoy the first Portal?

Ok, multiply the fun you had with Portal by 2, and divide the price by 2. Make sense yet?

Bought it for $50, no regrets. Spectacular game while it lasts, and when it's done head over to thinkingwithportals.com and get new testchambers! Then learn to make em, and keep the cycle going. Also there's supposed to be free dlc this summer (keep valve time in mind though).

I bought the game for 60$ and I thought it was worth it.

(I did get 20$ amazon credit that did sweetened the deal)

I say yes, it's a very good game. The only major flaw it has is that it has little to no re-playability, but as a puzzle game that can't really be helped.
I played it twice just for the humor. I love that game so much.
OT: Totally! Go for it!

Just adding in my two-cents in:

Yeah, but it depends on what you take away from the game. I bought it at full price, and I loved it so much I played it all over again, start to finish once I beat it. Between that, playing for friends, letting my brother play, co-op, etc, I've clocked 19 hours despite my first playthrough being only 5.

I got my money's worth in those first 5 hours, but I can't guarantee that others will. I can't remember the last time I played a game of such quality that I didn't feel cheated by the duration being so short.

Yes, it is absolutely worth it. It's worth every single penny. The new gels and other mechanics are worked into puzzles in a simply mindbogglingly brilliant way, the difficulty is challenging but not impossible and it has some of the best written characters and dialogue that I have seen in a long time. At this price, you'd be a fool not to check it out.

No it is a completely new thing, just make sure you got a buddy to play in co-op otherwise you will be missing half the puzzles.

For the next 13 hours, Portal 2 is $25 on Steam. I don't know whether or not it's worth it. I enjoyed Portal, but a lot of what made it great was its brevity and self-containedness (yes, I know that's not a word.) I remember thinking when it was announced, "This is like if they put Kuribo's Shoe in Super Mario Galaxy... it was special because it was there, it came and went. Now they're ruining that."

So, is Portal 2 just a money-grubbing gag? Is it actually well-designed? Does it actually bring anything semi-new to the table? Or does it amount to nothing more than what could easily just be DLC for the first one?
NO. DON'T BUY IT.

It's an amazing game, but buy the Valve Complete Pack - it comes with Portal 2 as well. Compare the prices, and you'll understand.
This guy's logic is sound. If I had a method of purchasing things online, I would get that complete pack myself.
