Wallace Wells! Thats all I have to say aboot that though...
Indeed. Did you read the last couple pages of Vl. 6?
Of course! I've read the whole series all the way through. Is there something I missed?
My favorite character is Stephan Stills. I don't want to spoil anything.
Those two are probably the funniest characters without trying. Wallace says the funnier things but Stephen just freaks out at the worst moments.

Awww... Too bad it had to end.

Homosexuals usually have interesting qualities. Probably comes from being different in a way some people veiw wierd or bad. That situation creates perspective.Usually.

I was ready to put on my Angry Mask until I saw the edit.

OT: I can rarely tell if someone is "gay" or not at a first glance; maybe I wasn't born with the seventh sense. If we are going to pick a winner of our branded names (jeez. Maybe I spoke too soon with the removal of my Angry Mask) though, Sir Elton Hercules John seems like a cool enough guy.

This thread would seem alot more fair if we just banged on about our "Favorite person of anything EVAR" again...

Sorry, I don't mean to be biased.

Eddie Mercury from Queen. Fucking sweet.
FREDDIE Mercury. F.R.E.D.D.I.E.

Shit loads of awesome gay people, but the one that springs to mind for me as the person that could be used as great evidence to homophobes (not gay-haters, but the much more normal straight guys who are uncomfortable with gays) that gay people are perfectly normal is Dan Savage. He does a sex advice podcast and completely erased the last trace of homophobia that still lingered in my head (and this is long after I had my first few gay friends who were really good friends).

The question needs to be fixed a bit. It sounds like your saying that there's a short supply of cool gay people, which I know is not your intent. I think a more relevant question would be gay characters who are portrayed in movies, TV, Video Games etc as both having sexuality as a defining characteristic, and who are also "Badass", and not subject to the girly, wimpy gay stereotypes.

To this I say Willem Dafoes character in Boondock Saints. Being gay is definitely a part of his character. But he is just as much of a hard bitten, crazy badass as anyone in that movie. He is an example of a great icon for homosexuality in Cinema. He happens to be gay, its not a big deal, and if you try to use it against him, he will just smack you around a little until you smarten the hell up.

Lafayette of True Blood is another good example. He may lose a few points for being a rather...complete...gay stereotype. But then again, that stereotype does exist in reality, so might as well acknowledge it. And it's nice to see a character who fills so many gay stereotypes who still manages to get pissed, and slap the shit out of some stupid, ignorant rednecks.

Too many times we hear underaged kids yell the word fag, or homo, or whatever the hell they say, but what about the exceptions? Have you ever met a gay person, or heard of a gay person, who was an alright guy/girl?

I put my vote for Eddie Mercury from Queen. Fucking sweet.
Ummm...How about every gay person? This whole topic sounds really ignorant.
Indeed it is. It assumes that all straight people are naturally "alright." About 90% of people are straight, and about 99% of people kind of suck. It all evens out.

If we're talking bout vidgames/movie characters: I LOVED the gay room mate in Scott Pilgrim <3, Maxxie from Skins and Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 (he did take a naked bath with lots of men and did drag once...)

PS before anyone says anything, I know drag queens arent necessarily gay :)

The City of Vancouver - or at least the gay parade and the people involved in it. Most fun parade I ever had, and 1000x more fun then one of America's Thanksgiving parades.

I don't believe this bollocks.

In my area, being "gay" is cool. You can tell with facebook pictures titles "Tag your gays!" with gay stereotypes, or probably the most offensive thing ever.

A few months ago a friend of mine 'came out of the closet' (terming I hesitate to use, because it makes homosexuality seem like a condition). Instead of wall posts approving the relationship, he reveled in comments titled, "YES! You joined the right team!" or "Finally you admit your allegiance." What. Flat what.

To put it bluntly, I don't believe in having a favorite gay person for much the same reason I don't have a favorite black person- I don't believe that because of something you're born as, you should get special treatment in my book. If you are gay and you are in my list of favorites (a la Freddie Mercury), good for you. But you aren't a "favorite gay person".
