These are are cool to use in odd ways. Such as referring to a flat tire as a 'flaccid tire' or referring to the amount of potatoes served to you as an 'ample mound' of them.

pallor
incessant
penultimate
regurgitate
happenstansically
slavage
procrasterbation

(okay the last three are my own custom mods on the English language).

Though really, even mundane words can be beautiful if strung along in the correct manor. Consider this little thing I wrote the other day when at the office:

"I have despair, there is no more hot chocolate left in the cupboard. Life is a cruel gray wasteland of impossibilities, that serves only as a comparatively scintillating background to the pallor of my soul."

Sure, it abounds with bombasticisms (another word I have unofficially coined), but most of it is just common phrase used in aberrant ways.

And yes, I joined just because I had dire need of sharing my love of words with other like minded forum-goers.
