hmmmm hard choice, I am trying to decide between Duke (Later Emperor) Paul Atreides, Geralt of Rivia or a very little known character from David Edding's books called Abriel.

To put Abriel in context, he is the Master of an Order of Knigths, aged more or les 80, and when he faces Klael (A power beyond the gods) and he pitties it because he is about to charge it and kill it.... He is at most a paragraph in a book but for some reason I always remember him.
