Oooh... That's a tough one.
Either the Replicators form Stargate (I prefer the spider ones to the Asurans) or the Daleks. Both are Bad Ass, but also relentless.
On a side note the sexiest alien race are the Twi'leks.

The Tyranids were invented in 1990. Starcraft came along in 1998. Fave alien race is SO hard to choose, but it would be probably... Tyranids, from Warhammer 40,000, or Necrons from 40,000, or Eldar from 40,000...

Krogan.
They kick ass and have cute toes. Seriously look at Wrex's toes in ME1 armour, you will squee. I also have a Krogan on my team in ME they are a good distraction for when I snipe people in the face.

I'm not sure they should win the "most cool" award, but I feel there needs to be a shout-out to the carbosilicate amorphs from Schlock Mercenary.
