First minute of this one is awesome; good mindfuck for such an early game when the room just changes and BAM! Hello, Shodan.

Probably Shodan from System Shock. I found the first conversation to be super creepy.

Really, I can't truely say. I've yet to play a game where the villain left a big impression. At best, I'd say, Giovanni from Pokemon... But really, I'd say Kagura.

Nuking Black Mesa isn't canon. Also, he doesn't really "sell" Gordon, he sells his contract, and only to people who are fighting the Combine. As for the crystal, we don't yet know how the Resonance Cascade fits into the grand scheme of things. All we know right now is that it's what dragged Earth into the conflict; though that doesn't make Gman a villain unless he was doing it in support of the Combine.

Kefka the only villain with no real motive and thats why he is the evilest thing ever created, after the Christmas critters from south park, and thus the greatest villain (seriously i never really figured out what his reasoning was for being evil)

I liked Gary from Bully.

He was very flawed and human and his motivations were quite subtle and believable compared to most video game villains.

And his rant at Jimmy in the end was awesome.
