So... I'm working on a gaming channel on youtube and I noticed the videos I get the most views on feature my friends (probably because they want to hear their own voices but maybe I'm not interesting enough myself, who knows really). I'd like you guys to suggest games (preferably ones that are on Steam) that might be interesting for myself and 2 of my roommates to play and record.

Please don't suggest the most recent blockbuster game. Firstly, a lot of blockbuster games suck ass aside from the great visuals, but once you actually look for content to support the flashy display, all you get is crap (I'm looking at you, MW2) Secondly, one of my roommates doesn't have a great computer for gaming, thats's why I want a game that's not too recent.

I'm considering Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising since it's a more realistic, tactical shooter, but if I manage to find my BF2 disc and get Project Reality I probably wont want to do a shooter :p (Magicka has already been done by TB and the Yogscast, if you haven't watched those, do it, they're great). Also, like I said, there's 3 of us so if you're one of the other 2 people that liked Full Spectrum Warrior, don't bother suggesting it since that only has 2 player coop

tl;dr - suggest good coop games for pc also Full Spectrum Warrior is an underrated game

Since Steam is having a sale right now, you should totally get Resident Evil 5. It makes for great commentary because it's fun to play, fun to watch, and fun to make fun of.

You mentioned Magicka, but will you not do it because someone else already has? It's on sale on steam for a little more than three bucks right now (the third if July), so you may want to consider that.

RE5 is only 2 player coop to my knowledge, thanks for the suggestion though :)

i really want to get magicka but i donno if its worth making videos of since other people have and im tired of riding the coat-tails of TB (such as doing wow videos, super meat boy and amesia the dark decent for example)

i have played magicka before and i really like it and will probably buy it very soon but yea, i want to be unique and whatnot :p

i just realized i never said anything about borderlands haha but as far as i know its a crappy port on the pc, never tried it though so ill have to look into it

ok , Minecraft , borderlands , halo reach , left 4 dead 2 :) to name a few
All of these. And if you guys want to play TF2, you can play Medic/Heavy or Engie/Engie or something like that and clean up with a coordinated attack.

Some free to plays from Steam:

Spiral Knights and Global Agenda. Both are 4 player cooperative games. The first is a top down figher/rpg and the second is a first person shooter/RPG. Both are pretty fun with friends and both are free so you have nothing to lose by trying them.

Other games:

Borderlands is pretty fun, even on the PC. It's a pretty chill game for the most part, great for messing around and doing stupid things while just having a good time. I find it really relaxing to play it with some friends after a long day of work/school.

Obligatory Left4Dead/Left4Dead 2 mention.

Section 8 Prejudice is pretty fun for a while, especially with friends, and it's currently only $10 on steam for a full campaign and multiplayer and coop.

Killing Floor is also always a lot of fun to watch people start freaking out when they start being overrun completely. The game is fairly cheap, only $15 right now.

Lastly, Black Ops zombie mode is always good for a laugh playing coop with friends. Not sure if that's worth paying $50 for the rest of the game though considering it doesn't sound like you hold the call of duty franchise in a particularly high regard.

Dragon Rising would be cool. Also ARMA2.

Also I'd say Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale. The co-op for that game looked pretty neat. I haven't played it though.

Goto Co-optimus.

EDIT:

Don't do much Co-Op gaming on PC tbh.

I can recommend playing team vs HoN and LoL and DotA.

It's not a shooter and it has Co-Op + Vs at once. (Although some people say "TEAM VS ISN'T PART CO-OP WAHT R U SMOKING??" but I think it is.)

Trine fits your needs perfectly. Three player co-op, on the same PC, available on Steam, dirt cheap at the moment.

Borderlands is an awesome game. Plus, you'll have a lot of content to put up on YouTube since it's relatively long.
