COD's stranglehold on the American gaming industry is just too strong at this point, they've already been suckered into buying more or less the same game every year, these fans are going to buy MW3 no matter what critics, or logic, or their better judgement have to say about it, and that's just the way it is.

Pretty stupid, especially since he turned the disk over and the reflection of his face was shown, so he could easily be found by FBI if Activision felt like pursuing it.
