... and I'm planning on doing a classic spiderman cosplay, but with a twist, at the Escapist Expo in September. :D
Please tell me you're going to include barrel:

OT: I've never cosplayed, but I've considered it in the past. The problems are that there aren't many conventions or expos that I go to, and the costumes that I want to make take a metric fuck ton of time to make.

I've always wanted to dress as either the guys from Gone With The Blastwave...
... or the NCR rangers from Fallout New Vegas...
... because I got a thing for gas masks and trench coats. <_<

So... who wants to fly down to Los Angeles and help me make one of these costumes? Huh? Come on, you know you want to! :D

Good lord... didn't that comic end like... a few years ago. I heard the artist went to do something else... did that series start up again or something?

I don;t cosplay but at the cons I've been too I do dress up.

When the nickname you get for three cons in a row is "The Awesome Butler" you know your doing something right.

Captcha: Bike Rider, damn escapist knows I own a motorbike.

No. I just remember it vividly and fondly. Sorry if I got your hopes up. :(

For fun and entertainment, in my German class tomorrow, we have to do a presentation about a vacation. Where is my group's vacation? Skyrim.
I made a dovahkiin (iron) hat, and I'm currently distracting myself from making the guard's helm--which I am to wear. I also have a metal ruler for a sword, and am using a yellow blanket as my sash. Other than that, I have some rabbit ears from when I'm a rabbit and set on fire, as well as a robe for my "mage" friend.

As for other cosplay events, I've been TK from Angel Beats for my two visits to Youmacon and no place else--besides school, because the costume is just regular school clothes.

You should, however, get some old 3D glasses.
You mean like... oh say for example...

30 second old picture :D

;)
Thar you go. Get a collection of the rest of the glasses Tennant is wearing as the 10th Doctor for emergencies, you never know.

I've done several. Hinata from Naruto, Rose from Homestuck, Xion from Kingdom Hearts and Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. In the future I'm planning to do Tifa from FF7, Twilight Sparkle from MLP and Ash Ketchum from Pokemon. I have the uniform from Vampire Knight as well...just need to get the courage to wear the skirt in public. >.>

I've never cosplayed. No cons around unless I want to travel across states, and I probably wouldn't be able to make a decent costume anyway.

That said, I do eventually want to try it out, but considering my figure I'm not sure if I could really pull a lot of characters off well since I'm pretty skinny.

...Maybe Mega Man Zero.
Other than that there's not many characters I see myself accurately portraying.

I've been cosplaying for a number of years. I have my full album on Cosplay.com here: http://www.cosplay.com/member/177617/costumes/

A few of my favorite photos that I've had done for a few costumes I own:

Decus - Tales of Symphonia 2

Madame Red - Black Butler (with my group)

Psiren - Full Metal Alchemist

Yuuko Ichihara - xxxHolic

I would SO do a Pyramid Head cosplay (I have the right body type and everything!) but I cannot DIY crafts for my life. It's quite sad.

No, because I just find it weird to go round in a costume like that personally. Hell even on halloween I feel uncomfortable doing it and just get some ugly mask and call it a costume. I think I have some complex against it, as all I can about my parents dragging to wondercon is this:

It was horrible.

I think cosplay is great, especially for some like me who likes to dress up.

I've wanted to cosplay so many different characters, yet I lack the body to pull of such cosplay (in both weight and height).

I haven't done it, unless you count Halloween. I do want to try it though, I love costume parties, Halloween and such, it's really fun to see how creative people are. Also, expos seem like fun in general, lots of people who share your interest and such.

Also, judging by the pictures from expos I've seen there seems to be lots of pretty girls (and don't jump to conclusions, I'm not talking about the ones who dress like Ivy from Soul Calibur, just normal, pretty girls doing something they like). So if anyone wants to take me to one, I'd probably go.

I have not cosplayed yet but some friends have persuaded me to cosplay at the expo. For now I will be going as Leon Kennedy unless something better shows itself.

I wonder how long it will take before this thread turns to desperate guys swooning and complementing the female cosplayers.

Whatever the case, I do occasionally but only if I can be bothered at the time.

I've been to a couple of cons, not sure if I can go to any this year which makes me sad.

Was a very last minute costume. Think I decided in the last week I was going.

I made much more of an effort that time... I hope, lol. Freya from Chobits in case you couldn't tell >.>

They are so much fun. Drain your bloody bank account though >.<

Next Cosplay: Roxie Richer from Scott Pilgrim. I have everything bar the spiked chokers.
Freya is definitely a lot better than the team Rocket cosplay. Man I love Chobits. You look good as Freya, Em, and I think you'd do a good job as Roxie.

OT: I haven't ever cosplayed, but I may do so in September when I go to Eurogamer expo. My mates wanted to make me go as Aerith from FF7 last year, they thought it would be funny. I decided I wouldn't allow that to happen. I'm not sure what, if I do, I'll cosplay in September though. Ezio would be cool, but too expensive and too much work. I'll have a see closer to the time.
