I have two cosplays I want to be able to do

One is Yu Narukami of Persona 4 fame

And the second is Ragna the Bloodedge of Blazblue

The issue is that A) I don't have any ability to sew and B) I don't have the money to pay someone to make an expertly constructed cosplay

One day I will do dude Bayonetta. [https://www.google.com/search?q=bayonetta&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&client=firefox-a&channel=fflb&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=oQYFUrmLIY_G4APcx4GYBA&biw=1680&bih=887&sei=owYFUqbBCoOGyAH6k4GoCA#imgdii=_]

One day.

Instead of heels with guns, I'll do platform shoes with shotguns in them.

If I had the time/money/materials/sewing skills, I would go as either:

Sheena Fuijibayashi (Tales of Symphonia)
Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy 7)
or
Alex Mercer (Prototype)

...What? I wanna try something different!

I got two . Being black , there aren't a whole lot of cosplay i can do accurately . Mychoices are somewhat limited . There are only 2 people i think i can pulloff ( from anime ) . The first is tousen from bleach . I would love to cosplay as him , i would however need to grow my hear to make cornrows( a style i hate to death )

The second is afro samurai , i can get an afro pretty easy , it's the ensemble that i'm too lazy to get around to buying.

However , if i do one i can most likely do the other , we have a anime convention here in montreal , i think imma get my act together and try for next year . Now if i could just find two people to cosplay as aisen and Gin ( gen?), i'd do it in a new york minute.
How about Mugen from Samurai Champloo? He's got like three pieces of clothing on him, plus a couple of geta and a sword, can't be that hard to pull the costume out.

Admiral Akainu of the marines from One Piece. I've just always found him to be a fascinating antagonist. Especially as of this point he is probably one of Luffy's main adversaries. I can't wait for the inevitable conflict between these two.

I had made a Link costume a few years back that was pretty good but I decided to never wear it because my body type doesn't fit with the character.

I'd like to cosplay as ghost suit Kerrigan but considering I'm a fat dude I doubt that's ever going to happen.

there seems to be a serious lack of chaos warrior cosplays so i though Why not Cosplay the Gods' Chosen? the only probelm I have would be the chain mail and thats expensive/time consuming to the point i would wager that the chain mail would be the majority of the build.

I'd make a damn good Mark Hamill joker. I have the face, the body, and the grin. Its just too expensive to go to comicon, dragoncon, whatever and get a custom I wouldn't feel embarrassed wearing in front of everyones hand built power armor.

If I was one of those ambitious people who puts lots of time into building a perfect costume, I used to love Warhammer 40K, but Sphess Mahreens! are a bit cliche. It could be fun to work out a Tau firewarrior costume if I could work out how to get down to four fingers. Or an Eldar Striking Scorpion with twitching mandiblasters could be fun.
You could either use gloves which force your pinky and ring fingers together, creating the illusion of three with a thumb, or hand waive the issue. This would likely include either using a lobster style gauntlet which masks how many fingers you have, or drop being a Fire Warrior for being a Stealth suit Shas'vre which has no exposed fingers. You could do a Crisis suit too, but that might throw off the scale if you are concerned about that part of the aesthetic.

What I'm still hoping to do at some point is Ash from Avalon

I want to cosplay one of my charr characters from Guild Wars 2. I've never done any real cosplay before, and I know it's going to eat up a lot of money, but I think it'll be worth it. I think it would be awesome if my guildmates joined in and we could be a warband XD.

Aside from N7 armor (which I've pretty much given up on for various reasons), I want to dress as an earthbender, a Red Jaguar [http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2H5perITjVM/UY-tRitjbjI/AAAAAAAABrc/Z4BmAX1bkSE/s320/IMG_0822.JPG], and some sort of BioShock cosplay, but a lack of funds is putting them off (that and a 3DS/Pokemon Y has priority).

I don't mind too much since I have a few cosplays left over that I could always wear again, but only one of them went over well with people (this one [https://sphotos-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/1056_507758385903125_1688892590_n.jpg], and that's the best pic I have of it).

I have some friends who do Cosplay for A and G con, so I do see a lot of fun with Cosplay and I do have some ones I want to do. One I really want to do is Issac Clark from Dead Space. I want to stick with costumes from the first game, but when I make the costume I want to make an engineering suit that has a lot of the detail in it. I want to include all of the small parts in the design, while making sure that it does not fall apart when I try to move around in it. I also want to do a Punisher outfit, although - and I know it is not necessary - I feel that I want to get at least more muscular than average before trying it out. I feel I need to do that just because there is not a whole lot going on with a basic Punisher outfit aside form the chest symbol in the center, but I do not want to look like just a guy in a shirt. So, those are two outfits I would want to try. Part of my also wants to try to be Boba Fett, but I think I would save that one for a second or third time Cosplaying.

Why bother? Because cosplay is for fun, unless you're one of those people who take it srs face. Not everyone will share your views; I personally think "Are they having fun? Do they love the character? And they aren't hurting anyone? Good on them."
There ARE no rules rules to it, that's the beauty. If you want to look good or are partaking in a competition then it is a good idea to play to your strengths.

People who put lots of time/money/effort into cosplaying usually do play to their strengths. The ones I've seen that don't fit the body type usually buy an outfit from a joke shop because they aren't hoping to take it seriously.

I'm half serious, half having a laugh with my cosplays. I want to look good but I also want others to think I look good and approach me easily so we can have a nice chat. I personally stay away from figure revealing outfits because I can't pull them off but more power to those who want to have fun with it.

Also, regarding my chobits cosplay, I'm the complete opposite of the character physically (She's very slim and slight with a small chest) and I made it work in my opinion.
Resembling the character physically is just ridiculous in so many cases. How many ladies do you know with anime type figures? How many men do you know who are built like Marcus Phoenix? It's unreachable and not plausible so just have fun with it.

My friends are all going to cosplay soon and I can't decide.

I was thinking ether Deadpool, Spiderman or an Xman - I know none of them are that unique though.

Never cosplayed before, but I was tossing around the idea of cosplaying Naoto Shirogane

(NOT THE OUTFIT IN MY avatar... obviously.)

Hers is distinctive, stylish, and cool, but also comfortable and very easy to do.

All I really need is a fancy coat, plaid pants, and a paperboy hat. Thank god my favorite female character wears men's clothing. Although, I might even consider dying my hair blue if I wanted to get serious about it.
