Ive never cosplayed in my life. However, I would love to do one as Northern Front Swain from League of Legends.

Auron from FFX. I'm a white guy, I've got the height, my hair spikes naturally, and I'm just far enough into middle age to be a believable father figure. The problem is the costume. I have no ability with needle and thread. Where do you get a red trenchcoat with enormous sleeves, anyway?

Kamina from Gurren Lagann. The problem here is the physique. Go shirtless? I don't think so. I'm a saggy, blubbery mess who knows better than to bare skin. I'd have to diet like a mofo. The costume would be easier in this case: gi pants, sandals or tabis, maybe a wooden practice katana, all of which I already have. Making his sunglasses would be the hard part.

Considering my inexperience and me not wanting to spend a lot of money, I've wanted to cosplay as the Biker from Hotline Miami. He looks like this.

Partially because I really like the game, and partially because my face would be hidden just in case things go south.

I got two . Being black , there aren't a whole lot of cosplay i can do accurately .
I want to eventually cosplay as Kakuzu from Naruto, DC Comics Red Hood, and Noob Saibot. Also being black I have to try for characters that conceal my face.

My need to wear glasses limits my options a little.
The only ones that come to mind right this moment are Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist and Yu from Persona 4. The latter would probably be pretty easy to do, come to think of it.

Alas, I don't have the money to blow on a costume. Or even the materials to make one.

Same here. It really only does limit it by a tiny bit though. I mean, I'm not going to pull off a very menacing Scorpion or equally menacing tough guy, but most of the time, despite what the internet says, glasses are pretty forgivable.

Anyway.

I would love, love, love to do Samus Aran in full Power Armor but there are two things:

1. I'm a guy. Although, for the most part, that's forgivable, people pull genderbent cosplays all the time.

2. Full armor-suits are pretty tricky, even for the people who know what they're doing. I've just started dabbing my toes into cosplaying, as in I've cosplayed ONCE so far with a mostly-bought outfit and the only part of it that was made was by my friend who went with me. We were Flim and Flam, for those who are curious. Anyway. It's a pretty big jump from mostly-bought to full-body-power-suit, but I'm sure I'll get it down one day.

I've wanted to do an Old-School Link outfit for a while... Probably A Link to the Past era. Seems a lot simpler than the current Link designs (I'm too lazy to make a more recent Link outfit).

I also bought a cheap-ass horned helmet with the intention of making it part of an Animal Crossing Villager costume. But the problem with that is now having to deal with all the "hur hur hur, he's a psycho, hur hur hurrr" thanks to the fan reaction to the Villager showing up in Smash Bros 4.

I also really want some kind of LEGO cosplay... Not so much a minifig costume (though that'd be rad) but to cosplay as a LEGO character... A classic LEGO astronaut for example. Or the old Black Falcon Knights.

LEGO cosplay sound fun, but I think that proves my point that western cosplay has evolved into a totally different culture from the original cosplay in japan.
lego is halloween.
