Okay, so you are going to a big convention, Sci-fi, anime, whatever. Who do you want to cosplay the most. What materials do you need? What is the best cosplay experience you have had? What Characters have you cosplayed before?

And for those of you who don;t like cosplayers or think that cosplaying sucks, i would ask why you even bothered to click on this thread.

Personally, I will be going to Anime North dressed as Jake Sully in his Avatar Form. I have cosplayed several characters of my own making, as well as Lockon Stratos, Hie from Darker Than Black, L, and Captain Aizen.

I've never had the opportunity to cosplay before, and to tell the truth, I've only entertained idle fantasies for doing so.

Said idle fantasies have included Dante, Johnny, Emil Castagnier, or Iori Yagami, though I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to start...besides extensive workout for a few months beforehand.

I was Hayate from the Dead or Alive series at the last Youmacon. I thought it looked awesome, but nobody even knew who I was cosplaying. This year I have no idea. There is talk of me and a few other doing an Advance Wars group cosplay, but thats still in the works.

I've cosplayed as Filia (Slayers), Hyatt (Excel Saga), Sakura (Naruto), and Anissina (Kyou Kara Maou). I came second for cosplay-roleplay as Filia, singing her image song, and the following year won with Hyatt, singing a song I wrote to the tune of the ED, all the while dying as I sang, fainting for the climax.

I have cos-played as Harley-quinn, a Oiran, geisha, death from Elizabeth, Japanese princess and China doll.

The picture in my avatar is me as a geisha, but edited into black and white (because I am such a photoshop genius)

To create the white face (on all the costumes) I used stage makeup, all my costumes used a wig of some sort. Some of the clothes were rented, some costumed were contruscted from random pieces of other costumes most were bought and a few were rented.

Next, I am going to cos-play as the joker

I've cosplayed Komugi from Nurse Witch Komugi-chan/SoulTaker (the little pink dress with the floppy collar) and an Alchemist from Ragnarok Online. I'd love to cosplay more often, but I'm pretty damn broke. I can't afford fabric. *sadface*

My dream cosplays would be the Flower Pretear from... Pretear, the titular character from Mai-HiME, and several different characters from Ragnarok Online (particularly the Acolyte/Priest/High Priest line).

I plan on cosplaying as either Frank West from Deadrising or The merchant guy from RE4.

The Heavy from TF2, if only because I get to yell at people in a bad Russian accent, smack them around with my fists and declare love for big guns.

One of my friends said she'd go as The Scout and fight me for my sandvich.

Agent Chieftain, since I'm growing the hair for it anyway.

It's basically a suit, tie, a cowboy hat, black sunglasses. And the ability to DANCE!

Oh, and beard.

I've never cosplayed before, nor do I plan to. But if I was forced, I'd go as either Nero or Jecht, because Nero and I have the same hairstyle and Jecht is fucking awesome.

I'd have to muscle up before cosplaying as the Blitz King of Manliness, and I'd only do it with a perfect costume and sword, I'd feel way too wierd with a half-arsed outfit.

the scout, Ive got the bod for it and Ive got a bat, but if I do it then Im gonna make it look damn good and have to get better at yelling BONK!!!!!!!
