Pfft, everyone knows that Valve doesn't make games that end with a 3.

So to answer your question, no, she won't. Because the game will never exist.

Portal 2 is set MILLIONS of years after Portal 1 (which is set somewhere after HL2 like GLaDOS said in P1 "the world has changed")
maybe the Borealis but not Chell
TLDR
no HA HA FAT CHANCE!
anyway this cake is great!
PS
I made a little mistake by saying millions I think at least 100 years would be reasonable.
Well they say "You have been asleep for 999,999,9- and it cuts off, so it could be a LONG time

Just kinda a quick calculation as I know they mean days: Lets assume its "999,999 days"

999,999/360 = 2,777 years...

At this point... who knows

About the 99999999- timers, I'd say this intended as an with the speaker, rather than an actual date. When most computers reach the end of possible times they can store, they'll roll back into negative time (so, from t=9,999,999,999 to t=-9,999,999,999). Valve do a lot of work with computers, they probably know this ;)

You should also bear in mind, when it was said Chell was to appear in HL2 at some point, this was before Chell's recovery by the party associate was ret-conned in the original Portal.

If anyone can make an interaction between two mute blank slates (Gordan and Chell) work well its Valve. Although I don't see Chell as a character in ep 3, I'm sure there would be some kinda homage or cameo in some fashion. Since ep.3 is apparently taking place in an Aperture Science facility it would be foolish of them not to in my opinion.

Show me a statement from Gabe Newell where he says explicitly that Chell has brain damage in Portal 2 and I'll agree with you. Until then it's fans making assumptions based on Wheatley only saying that it was possible she might have brain damage. A possibility of brain damage does not equal proof of brain damage. Nor do other characters acknowledging that she does not talk equate to proof of brain damage.
Wheatley asked her to talk but she jumped instead

Yes because the dev's not putting in a talk button for the character to push clearly shows that she has brain damage. That's still not proof of brain damage, only proof that the devs have a sense of humor when it comes to messing with players about giving an already mute character a voice.

My previous statement stands. Give me explicit proof from the developer's mouths saying "Yes, we gave Chell brain damage in Portal 2" or something along those line and then I will agree that she did indeed suffer brain damage.

Until then your assumption that she has brain damage based only on Wheatley saying she might have suffered brain damage holds no water and remains only an assumption. You either provide proof or I stand my ground.

Putting this argument to rest with a recent statement from one of the valve staff.

Erik Wolpaw said:
According to Erik Wolpaw, in each game this is probably for a very different reason. He explains that in Portal, Chell is silent because it makes the game funnier.
Erik Wolpaw said:
Wolpaw admits that Chell can definitely talk, but added: "She just chooses not to, what with the robots all being dicks. Why give them the satisfaction?"

So there you have it; she doesn't have any brain damage. I win. :)

I /facepalmed to this weak theory....

And its more likely you will encounter elements from Portal such has Borealis and some kind of A.I.. Doubt Chell will ever appear to lend Gordon Freeman a hand... We dont know if the timelines are paralel to each other....

Even if Chell were to appear in EP. 3, what purpose would she serve other than a small cameo? If she were to have the Portal Gun with her, maybe she could help out. Other than that though, I can't really see her doing anything besides moving the story along in some small way.

Later on, Newell is asked about the possibility of a direct crossover between Portal and Half-Life, as both games are set in the same continuity. Newell did not directly confirm such a crossover will take place, but he did say that setting both games in the same universe has a purpose.

"When you're thinking about games, you sort of want to think about how characters collide. In their current forms, Chell and Gordon are very similar characters. in terms of the phenomenology of their experiences. ... In terms of having these people coexist at same time and same place, that's ... part of the reason Portal and Half-Life are in the same universe."

Take it as however you like it.

Portal 2 is probably around the same time as HL2. As mentioned before, Portal one was around the black mesa incident, and also at the end

When you exit, the shack you come from is A: Still intact

B: Not totally overgrown.

Im pretty sure if it was even 100 years it would have been impossible for it to power up again, I dont think the reactor cores could be powered up in the state they would be in after 100 years, even with Aperture's econimical power supplies.
