Hey, first off I'll say sorry for my terrible grammar, all of my classes ar in french.

So, I recently remembered how much rpgs kick ASS, b utI'm having trouble finding a new one that I like. Please, only action rpgs, no jrpgs, and newer (2000-present) Ok, I just noticed that sounds pretty picky. But, again, to make your jobs harder, these are the games I already own or have or have rented: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Too Human, Borederlands, Drangon Age, Mario and Luigie Ds (All three). Platforms: Xbox, wii, dsi and I guesse the PC, however I have no idea about upgrading it so it can play certain games (Or something like... do you have to? I'm realy clueless about that stuff) It would be greatly appreciated if you could reccomend something with a description.

This is Sup I'm will, signing out

Go with a classic, diablo 2! Or make some friends and play an rpg you actually role play in!

Edit: fable 2 but not one? /shame and disapointment

An RPG, but not a JRPG.
It cant be Fallout 3, Oblivion, Fable 2, Too Human, Borderlands, Dragon Age, or the Mario games (which are Japanese made AND turn based (JRPGs))...
Broaden your horizons.
...
Also, the system for RPGs is the PS2...

Ok, here's some ideas.

Western RPG's, highlights are story, choice based systems.
PC- Neverwinter Nights 2, The Witcher, Planescape: Torment
Torment is a bit older, but if you want good story telling in an RPG, it's REALLY worth checking out.
PC/Xbox-Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire
KotoR was what got me into Bioware, and JE was another solid action RPG from them that I really enjoyed. Cheap as hell now too.

Actually, none of these games are any more then 20 bucks nowadays, so go nuts :)

I-

My friends would kick my ass if I did that. Sorry, no, I would. I Just like developing my character alot. That's the main thing: Big world, big growth in character.

Play EarthBound and Mother 3. Like today. They might be JRPGs, but they're really good, and Mother 3 is incredibly emotional and thematically dark.

Also, do not listen to poster #10. Do not play his indie games!

Torchlight was pretty enjoyable. Its not really my idea of a true RPG, but it was pretty entertaining.
Hmm... Dawn of War 2 had some pretty deep RPG elements to it. But that one is still an RTS first.

I would also strongly recommend Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer (and the original NW2 obviously).

Bloodlines
Morrowind

Although you should note that by limiting yourself to post 2000 games you're going to miss all the good ones.
